I wonder if there were around 18500
server connection failures during the weekend operation? ;-) I think we
were actually successful....
I bet there was 10 of those were from me.

And it sucks to have an objective like this which we have no control over. Some (probably most) of us who play don't have the time to play the entire weekend to get a handful of escort missions. They ought to have upped the occurence of escort missions.

This soldier would suggest better "intel sources" so we could be more informed of our progress regarding our operations.
So, hint hint, OPERATION TRACKING!
Chris said something about that in a previous operation and said that it would be impossible. Maybe if ME3 was just on one platform, it might be, but on 3, not likely. Too much data.

I played 3 games in a row sunday with no escort in any of them no wonder we failed.

It was never about the commendation pack... get it you donkeys!

I would be happy if they would just show my individual achievements whether it's in game or on the social site so I know that they actually counted. Without having feedback I can't tell if my efforts are being recorded since I don't auto get commendation packs ever.

Soldiers of the Milky Way –
As mentioned in previous communications, we’ve seen a number of reports describing unusual enemy activity. Operation VIGILANCE was prompted by the latest in a string of unexpected attacks. I regret to inform you that the operation has failed.
Before our drones could complete their assignments, our troops were overrun by enemy forces. It is clear they knew what we were trying to do. Our troops were forced to salvage what they could before withdrawing from the battlefield. While we will put the salvaged materials to good use, we’ve learned very little about the initial attacks or how we might counter similar attacks in the future.
We will continue our investigation. I know that comes as little consolation to those involved. To you, all I can say is that you must stay alert and rely on your fellow soldiers. The Reapers have a plan. We must be ready for anything.
--Admiral Hackett
Edit: 231,456 escorts were successful. Close, but not enough.
Can you give us a breakdown by platform like last mission? Would be cool to see if there was any movement or if XBL carried like last mission.

If it already is, and you know something else is wrong, you really shouldn't ask me, how would I know an answer? I have received my commendation packs from operation 1, never had any probs to be honest.

I disagree - fact of the matter is we were close and BioWare set up an achievable target, maybe a stretch but achievable, so to me the frequency of the Escort missions was probably right in line with the normal gameplay algorithm.
The real reason we lost? People like me who thought "I've done my 15 Hours and can tack on a few more later...I am going to watch that 3 hours (or more) of football game(s)"...c'mon folks, fess up! I ended up putting in 18 hours, but let the team down by not putting the objective first.
Still was a lot of fun and looking forward to repercussions!

There were 11 operations (which could award commendation packs) before this last one, two of which failed.
There are people with 11 N7 weapons in their manifests.

give us stats for community goals and either an indicator of completion or something where there can be no doubt for individual goals - gonna be a lot of pissed off peeps after this one spamming support sure they are due a commendation pack. horribly bad planning, not to mention avoiding consumables is counter-intuitive and may have ruined some players games.
FYI i may be one of those - as mentioned rocked a solo bronze with nothing but the skillpoints on my back on a kroguard twice each day just to be sure and as of early wed no pack. i do like these events but you really REALLY need to communicate the whole thing (from event details to start/end time to progress to when packs should have been recieved) a whole lot better.

I played probably 20 to 25 games over the course of the weekend and got maybe 3 or 4 escorts total, if that even.
I'll give you it is odd at least. But plenty of others report more reasonable (or high) # of escorts, me included. I had 26 out of 117 missions, or 22% (yes, I tracked them!). Slightly above expected.
We don't have enough sample space to conclude anything. Not that it won't stop conspiracy theorists, or the blame game. Still, it may be a sign of some systematic error in what we assume should have been random events. We won't know unless Bioware gave us the stats. So how about it Chris, how many total missions?
'course, no one here would believe him:lol:
