Because they can if they knew we were going to need escorts they would have upped the ammount we got and I got a hell of alot less then i usually do

Success was based on a randomly generating game element.
Of course it was.
It'd almost be as bad if they said, 'hey we'll give out addt'l packs if X people unlock or upgrade an N7 weapon in the next three days.'

Yeah, I also noticed a significant decrease in the occurrence of Escort missions...
I usually get more escort missions in one day than I got all this weekend...only had 2 or 3 during this Op...
No way it was just bad luck...

 It was based on something that can randomly happen in a game. I doubt people were just not doing something that would give them credits when it pops up.

Bad luck is all.

During the event, one crappy run I had 1 escort mission in 3 games.
30 mins after event 4 escorts in 2 games.

They want to give us something interesting as a "punishment". Like banshees with Cerberus and Geth when we failed another doomed from the start operation. That was really fun.

 I've noticed a lot more Escort missions after the operation ended.
