Looking for help!  Every time I try to head to the Far Rim to "Speak with the Quarians" the game crashes and I get the "Mass Effect 3 has stopped working" Windows error message. Crash occurs during the mass effect jump cut-scene, just as the camera zooms in on the Normandy before the finish
Always happens at the exact same point.Posted Image

Once I've re-started the game, if I try "Resume" the game hangs with "Loading" and the spinning graphic in the bottom- right corner.  Have to "End Task" to get out of the freeze, then re-start and select a previous numbered save.

System Specs:
Win7/64-bit
Intel Core2Quad Q6600 @2.4GHz
8GB RAM
nVidia GT240 w/1BG VRAM
GEForce driver 304.48
Install: EA/Origin digital download

I've tried wandering around the galaxy a little before the next attempt.
I've tried wandering around the Citidel a little before the next attempt.
I've tried from several different starting points for the jump.
I've tried lowering the resolution to 800x600.
I've tried playing in "windowed" mode.
I've tried setting masseffect3.exe to "XP Compatibility" mode.

Still crashes... Every. Single. Time.

Any thought, ideas, places to start troubleshooting would be appreciated. Posted Image

Try repairing install through Origin (right click on ME3 icon to get the option)

If that doesn't work, try reloading to an earlier save. It hurts to do, I know (I've done it before), but you have to do that if you've got an issue after repairing.

I must admit my scepticism beforehand.  I had EA/Origin set to "Keep my game up-to-date", and thought everything was current, but "Repair" worked!  Launching the game after that dropped me right into Far Rim, with the Migrant Fleet just waiting for my visit.

Thank you for the quick, accurate, and simple fix! B)

When a crash always occurs at the same spot, it means the installation is corrupt. That's why repairing the installation fixed the issue. This goes for all games. If they don't have a repair tool, reinstalling the game should do the trick.
