For previous companions to be companions in DA3: Shale and Varric, for previous NPC's to become companions: Cullen, Serendipity and Emile De Launcet!

I want Nathaniel, but I think Varric is more likely.

Don't get me wrong, I want definitely Varric to come back. A lot, actually. Especially if both he and Cassandra are companions simultaneously.

But I want Nathaniel back more.

I'm not sure I want any of them to return. Not in their capacity as party members, anyway. Cameos, or as major NPCs would be acceptable. Fantastic, even.

I could definitely do without Varric. I think Tallis is utterly boring and also a moron.

I would like Cullen and/or Feynriel to be party members, but I don't think the latter is very likely. I am indifferent about Cassandra. Charade could be fun. Keran would be awesome, but I think he can die in DA2, so again, that seems unlikely.

I have no doubt that companions from previous games will apear. I believe it is highly probable that there will be at least one as a new companion.

I, for one, will always wish for my own pet Mabari.
