I have been having some problems with EA server disconnects, and they are far worse than having to reconnect. Lately when this happens when I try to reconnect I only get the EA servers not available error message. Now, the only solution I have found for this is restarting my PC completely, but that is not the only issue. Most, but not all times, when this happens and before I reboot. Origin starts chewing up a TON of CPU capacity, enough to cause serious performance issues even just in my browser. The CPU issue doesn't always happen, and some times it happens to a lesser degree. I can fix the CPU issue by restarting Origin, but that still doesn't fix being able to connect to the EA servers, that still requires a reboot.
Has anyone else experienced problems like this?
Disconnects from EA servers more serious than just having to reconnect.

Hasn't happened to me in a long time, but crashes and such that do not restart without reboot often can if the processes are killed...which is more than those you see.
In task manager, kill process tree for EACoreServer, Origin, MassEffect3...normal exit of Origin for example will not kill EACoreServer. If all that is killed, usually it will reconnect. The game has a lot of network-related failures you just have to live with (no sign of any patch or discussion from BW).

Not sure if its the same thing, but my pc hangs/freezes for a good while as origin launches.
Always has done this though.
I've not actually encountered your problem.
Sounds daft, but try reinstalling origin. Might help maybe?
