Just played through as Male Shep for the second time, romance Ash the fist time, this time had Kaiden as VS, and noticed that he was getting romance options. While I dont mind as such, there was no hint of this in ME1.

Why did BW decide to make him Bi, and why not Ashley as well, or in fact every character?, its not like therre were no option for Male Shep, Steve for example, my Male Shep was mates with Steve while romancing Ashley, and I liked Steves character development. But Kaidan's seems forced to me.

The idea was to have ONE gay option, ONE lesbian option, and ONE bisexual option.

Diversity.

How can you look at Kaidan and not think 'gay'? Well, bisexual, but he's still the type. Ashley is not.

Since never. Gay = a guy who's interested only in other guys. Bisexual = a guy who's interested in both girls and guys

That happens when you spend too much time on the same ship as Garrus.

Obviously. After all he told us how he doesn't like guys in ME1... oh wait, he didn't.

Really? He doesn't strike me as obviously gay or bisexual. Thane seems to be more that type. If there even is a type.

But I don't mind this retcon, it is not like all the bisexual people walk around yelling "Look at me, I'm bisexual". Maybe Kaidan in ME1 didn't feel attracted to Shepard, or wasn't fully realizing/accepting his bisexuality.

Since he didn't show any romantic feelings for male Shep in ME1, while he did for Femshep, I figured he wasn't yet comfortable with his sexuality in ME1. I don't believe it's a retcon though. I'm surprised they didn't make him a bi romance option in ME1.

Because maybe kaidan was always bisexual or wasn't expressing his sexuality because of the fear or anger he may receive from others also their were no gay romances for male shepard in the past

I suppose.

I don't mind that BW have decided that he's Bisexual, it just seems strange that there is no mention of it anywhere until ME3.

If its just to give players other options, I am surprised that they didn't do the same to Ashley, as you could use the same arguements about her.

I know right! I realized by seeing his sweat, what a gay sweat.

Caring and romantic guy = gayish? really?

Like if all homosexual guys were caring or romantic at all

U sure? When he said "Thinking you were gone... It was like losing a limb! Why didn't you try to contact me, why didn't you let me know you're alive?!" on Horizon to my Shep, I sure didn't think it was just about friendship :police:

Yay diversity. How noble of BioWare...

I believe Kaiden was supposed to be bisexual in ME1. But it got cut for some reason or other.

I... what?

It's a sad thing when wisdom, insight, and perception are considered 'gay'. Yes, he was a deep thinker. You're implying that if your mind didn't waltz right off the set of Jersey Shore you're automatically gay or bi? (Not that there's anything wrong with being gay, but still.)

Stay classy, BSN.

since he discovered his own sexuality, i guess.
Character development means learning new things about a character.

Really? He spends all of his time fixing his hair in between missions in ME1... or whatever he happens to be doing before the ridiculously long turning-around sequence.

Can you quit with the stereotypes? Every actor or singer must be gay to you if you follow such line of thinking.

True, except for the fact that ME is a video game and not real life. Video games (and other media) are not consumed in a vacuum - we know how stories work. If a character is shown to pay a lot of attention to his appearance, then there is a reason for this - because otherwise it wouldn't be in the story.

This again? OP I gave up explaining how bisexuality, my own sexuality, works IRL since it''s pointless with your kind. And yes, I got retconed from straight to bi as well. Glad it happened btw.

Why don't you just DON'T give him the botlle of whiskey and... Magic!! he doesn't hit on your PC and every other person who wants to enjoy his s/s romance, can do it without having to read how unvalid and forced their +100 hours playthrough was everytime they come to the forums.
