True.
As far as I'm concerned what I find irritating is that at this point FemShep doesn't have an exclusive straight relationship aside from Garrus' (and Thane and Jacob, by hey, it's not like they've been treated fairly in ME3 anyways).
I don't mind gay or bi or asexual characters, as long as FemShep and MaleShep have an equal treatment in regards to LIs (and story-wise).

Changed it cos someone declared the he was "BI NOT GAY", so I changed it keep folks happy. I dont really care I just found it a strange change of direction for the character, that had not as far as I had been aware been part of ME1.

Male Shep has more options by far.

How is that because the "father like son" analogy is most true in life and its nothing wrong to be done in a video game.J. Reezy wrote...

Just played through as Male Shep for the second time, romance Ash the fist time, this time had Kaiden as VS, and noticed that he was getting romance options. While I dont mind as such, there was no hint of this in ME1.
Why did BW decide to make him Bi, and why not Ashley as well, or in fact every character?, its not like therre were no option for Male Shep, Steve for example, my Male Shep was mates with Steve while romancing Ashley, and I liked Steves character development. But Kaidan's seems forced to me.
For gods sake...
Kaidan was bi in ME1 before release, but was cut (bad move). I don't think t qualify as gay or bi that they have to exactly SAY they are before the romance, else how is their character built as the story goes? In ME3 they very nicely had Kaidan come out to manshep and none of the dialogue was emphasising his sexuality, which is important since it's not significant at that time (for those pursuing that particular romance). Just because a character isn't a romance option for the same sex shepard doesn't mean they are automatically straight. So many people who post here are incredibly naive and uneducated.
I refuse to even respond to these threads anymore...

I knew Kaidan was bisexual since ME1 with his little twinkle-toes dance he did while we were on the Citadel.
Femshep would know he likes men, so she'd dump him and tell him to not avoid being himeself.

Also, Kelly isn't an actual LI. You don't actually do anything with her, and what you do do with her doesn't actually pop the "Paramour" achievement. And Liara isn't bisexual, because the concept of sexuality based on gender is meaningless to asari. Any relationship with Liara is one-sided, orientation-wise.Mordak55 wrote...

So really, the really poorly designed Allers is the only anomaly. She was clearly designed to appeal to (as much as I hate to say it) "IGN nerds," who like Chobot outside of the game. And "Girl on Girl is Hot" is a trope for a reason.

Regs were a huge problem for him with femShep, so coupled with his interest being male, maybe it was just too much for him to act on? ;-)
Or he just decided, that since the end is looming, he needs someone to feel close to and decides he doesn't care so much about gender...

Unfortunatly a lot of non trolls are naive to believe this.
Those who say bi doesn't exist are as bad as homophobes, if not worse.

they did better job with ME3 then DA2 though, at least you could let them down gently, rather then straight up breaking their heart
no problem with it though, not like it was forced, unlike DA2 , hard to avoid that was

No he wasn't, he was always bisexual! They just cut it from ME1!
If it never made the cut, then it isn't canon!
But that's what they intended!
An early draft doesn't mean it's the final story. It never made it in, so adding it in *now* is a retcon!
No it's not a retcon because it was never said he wasn't bisexual!
You don't have to proclaim it!
Yes you do!
No you don't!
How many times has this exact thread been made/discussed?
I don't even care to try anymore.

Bioware secretly wants Femshep to prefer woman,or asari.

I believe that Bisexuality exists, but I also believe a lot of people who say they're bisexual are not.
