There is a guy who has been building himself up, with the help of his fellow forumites, into some sort of prophet.
The reddit poster is very likely the same person, due to the username hinting at the BSN name. Whether it is true or not, well, that remains to be seen.

This would be freaking awesome if it was true, and it would be enough to bring me back into playing MP more frequently.

I shall, however, remain skeptical until some actual proof is presented. Leaks, pics, et cetera.

This looks cool, and I'm glad they're adding more turians, we need a turian infiltrator and engineer. I would also very much like to see volus biotics as well, it would so funny to watch as four volus vanguards zip around like bullets on the battlefield.

FFS. I'm not typically a lore nut. I'd be okay with Protheans, Collectors, ect. But volus is just too far. Even early in ME1 they told us that the reason the volus don't have a seat on the council is because council races must be able to handle military operations like the ones we're doing here, and volus are simply not capable of it. Talk to Din Korlack and Avina if you don't believe me. And even if they DID move faster than slow motion, do you know what happens when a volus' suit gets ruptured? They explode. Volus are from a world with very high pressure and their suits are highly pressurized. Shooting a volus would be like shooting an aerosol can. They literally blow up.

To be fair, that's what someone said about the Rebellion DLC.

While I'm not so sure about Volus, even though it would be super funny... I think Turian Engineers and Infiltrators should have already been in the game at the start. For such an important race that has potentially the largest conflict and relationship with Humans, I'm surprised there are not more of them in the game. I also think there should be one or two more Asari as well, even if we already have three. I view them as the most important race in the entire ME story.

People laugh about the Volus, but after thinking about it, I wouldn't be surprised if they filled a role nothing else could. It's not like it's a PVP game and the Volus would give an advantage because they have less hitboxes... it's a co-op game, and the AI enemies could surely compensate for the different players models. Why couldn't a Volus have superior shields with their powered suits? Oddly enough, if there is a Volus added, I bet it's a Sentinel, or maybe and Engineer with Defense Matrix.

Although a Biotic Volus would be fan service for sure. What's too much for me? A Volus Vanguard is too much for me. No Volus should have Biotic Charge; that would be ridiculous. If there is a Biotic Volus, I would hope it would be a Volus with Barrier, and maybe something like Slam or Cluster/Lift grenades. Or how about both of those grenades? How about a Volus "Demolisher" type character with a Barrier and Lift/Cluster grenades? Or perhaps you could have another similar "pylon" ability, and have the chance to spec the pylon for Lift or Cluster grenades. In this case a Volus could be a real asset to a team, providing tons of options for biotic combos, and maybe not necessarily doing tons of damage (which none of us seem to think is possible from a Volus) by themselves.
