Dragoons are not specifically British. They were basically foot soldiers that were trained to ride horses for increased mobility and would generally dismount to engage, they also filled the role of light cavalry. Most of Europe used them. Now I'm feeling like a giant history nut.
Modern equivalent, closest would probably be mechanized infantry. Think Cerberus applications.

Multiplayer is for fun. I couldn't care less about lore justifications for or against characters. I'd rather just enjoy myself.
And if we MUST go down that road to convince others, as has already been mentioned here:

I disagree with your logic. :3
In a universe where we have artificial self contained mech suits like the atlas, and on a smaller scale encasing battlesuits like on the destroyer. Where quarians who can die from a result of a single suit puncture roam the battlefield. In that universe you cannot imagine any way the volus can take to the battlefield directly? That some would not be willing to risk death to defend their homeland. That they never had to enforce law on a colony offworld, or explore offworld in a dangerous situation etc etc.
There is no logical reason in the mass effect universe as it stands, that would prevent a volus from fighting the good fight.
I really don't think a volus soldier would wear the typical suits that they wear in their every day life. They would almost surely have some sort of battlesuit, like that above, offering significant protection, even for defensive capabilities.
What could actually happen thenis that they wouldn't have any health. They would have shields, and armour. That way, once the armour is destroyed, they go down.
Edited for more obvious attribution

It is not Englisch either, it is a name. Personally I go with Vol (as in the "Vol Protectorate")Flog61 wrote...

DLC is due sometime within the next 2-2.5 weeks, so we'll see then.
Anywhos. More turians would be nice, Volus are kinda... Hard to imagine in multiplayer, for myself at least, but would more then likely end up fun either way.

Turians and Volus coming in at the same time would make sense, given that they're closely allied.
Not like lore matters in MP, though.

I would be seriously bummed.
This game needs its Drell rep doubled, and that's being conservative.
Drell need to apologize after they kill something, too.

At first I was skeptical, until I read the book of OTS. I see the light. It is true.

He only predicted the Firefight pack, nothing else since then. I remain highly sceptical.
