Seriously, I am getting very tired of hearing from randoms that I am getting carried. I have basically been playing this game since launch and even though I am not one of the best players out there I know I am a very good player.

Thing is, I usually play support roles and I play them in a way that benefits the whole team and not just myself. I can hold my own in a game on bronze and silver (haven’t solo’d them yet but again, it’s a co-op game) and on gold (mostly Firebase White and Geth) we reach extraction at least 75% of the time.

Today I played a Platinum match for the first time using my Paladin, I got about 10 k in score (map and enemy were not random so that’s why my score was so low) but I contributed by blocking enemy shots with my shield and also reviving people a lot. After the match I was kicked and got a message that I suck and that I should go back to bronze!!! <_<

Did another match again after that and this time I used my Asari Justicar and got over 20 k in points, got kicked and got another message! Did one more match with Salarian Engineer and got around 20 k, was kicked and got a message!!!

What people need to understand is that score really doesn’t matter, I am a good player and I was helping the team a lot, I didn’t save on my consumables as “bad” players do but instead I used all of my medigels and ops packs in all of my games. I would say that it is all the other players that just can’t comprehend the meaning of co-op? If I am helping the team by playing a support role like that, how in hell can they say I am getting carried?! Can someone explain this to me because I sure as hell can’t understand how that could be the case

Everyone beleives their are the best and therefore carry everyone else no matter what the score says. Nobody plays on a team.

How are you getting so few points? I don't mean to take the ******, I'm genuinely intrigued, can you post a video? I usually play support with N7 Shadow - cloak for revives and objectives (where applicable) and the ES to clear out weaker enemies and shields if things are getting a little crowded.

I'm on your side btw - I usually play the support/anchor role in all games (BF3 and ME3 especially though).

For first time into platinum, I could imagine maybe getting a low score. But 10k? That's in no way contributing. Your defensive play actually hindered the team since they were only putting out the damage of 3 players instead of 4. While the enemy spawn rate was fixed for 4 players. Good intentions, but you went about it the wrong way. But that's how you learn though, by playing.

And the reason as I said in my opening post that my score was so low in my first match was that I basically only used my shield to block the entire match and that it was a fixed map and enemy. Blocking Banshees helped give my teammates enough time to kill her, blocking shots and warps helped my teammates survive long enough so they could get their kills (hence their scores).

This has got to be a joke right? You would have been carried if you got 10K on Silver, let alone Platinum.

As long as you don't get dropped a lot and help with objectives you aren't being carried. I don't care if you don't kill a lot of guys. Somebody has to come in last place.

Yes, I also use the Shadow a lot when I play on FBWGG and I get a lot of points with the ES on that one, so I know I am not a good player cause I have been getting very good scores on gold with that. This time on Platinum I used the Paladin and didn't use powers or weapons at all really, I just stood in front of my teammates with my shield drawing aggro from the enemies, thus helping my team survive.

10K in platinum seriously...... you get that after wave 1

the farthest i have made it was wave 10 (i don't play platinum that often only with friends that are willing to teach me) and the lowest score i have ever gotten on platinum is 50k +

and that was on a wave 4 wipe

So when I usualy play Plat, I get 160k, and the others around 60-70k, so you geting 20k, menas that the rest of them got an avarage of 111.

So you contribiuted to about 1/5 of the dmg output. Which means that you were utterly usless.
I don't want to be mean but all those revives you did, you wouldn't have had to do them, had you killed the enemies, that were shooting at your teammates -..-

Look for some OP builds on the forum, but your best gear on them, and try soloing Gold till wave 5-6, after that start playing random gold matches, when you continously take 1st or 2nd place in a gold match, your dmg outpu and skills will be beneficial to the team on Plat difficulty!

So yes you were carried!

This game may be coop, but it's not structured around defined roles like tank, DPS, healer, etc.   It's horde mode and the only objective is to kill stuff.  As a result, if you're not helping to kill stuff, then you're also not helping your team much.  Matches go much faster and your team will die much less.  I'm not saying I like it that way, but it's the true of my experience.

10K is such a low score for a gold or platinum match.  If there's somebody in my Gold match with a score like that it usually means the match took 28+ minutes to complete and I got a revive medal.

Really ? So my Paladin standing in front of a Cerberus Tower with his shield so the other guys can destroy it without being torn to pieces is a lie ? Or my Paladin standing tall and soaking all the shots of that damn Prime so the others can blast that thing into smithereens is a lie ?

Hey, as I said, I can hold my own on bronze and silver and there I put up some very good scores, also on gold I have been doing that a lot. Platinum I get killed right away if the enemy shoots me and the shield of the Paladin is therefore great if I want to stay survive and also help my teammates in a supportive way.
