I am also a bit curious here regarding said scores. I understand that the mentioned 10k was the first game, and that you improved that in the following games, but even using snap freeze and energy drain once in a while, you should be getting quite a lot of assist points.

Blocking incoming enemy fire may be good, but only occationally - if i was playing with someone who spend the most of the time just sitting in a block-position, i would probably want that person to be a bit more active in debuffing the enemy...

How did you get 10k points in the whole platinum? Or you wrote it wrong and it was supposed to say '100k'?
With Paladin? It's a badass character. By spamming Snap Freeze and getting assists only you'd get a lot more points...

Ignore the people who are putting yehs down man. They think they're hot shiet when in reality they are probably some fat fuk who couldn't find emselves out of a wet paperbag. Obviously, playing a Support Role isn't your MO when it comes to Platinum. Now, try out a new class. I would recommend the Demolisher. She's a Grenade chucking she-devil who never has to rely on nobody. Always be aware of your surroundings when playing Platinum because the enemy will try to flank you and thus overwhelm you.

Nobody could go an entire game (let alone a Platinum) and score 10k.

right if he was resing like he claims he should at least get 40k on platinum, I play witha guy that uses the palidan consistantly and uses him as a tank/medic. he frequently scores 60k on gold doing this.

His primary reason is to teach other players how to play Gold and Platinum without using FBWGG

I have to say that for those difficulties your score is really low even playing as a support. The problem I have seen is at those difficulties is it is very hard to really watch what others are doing and can only really base your contribution on score. I would suggest that you consider opening it up more and see if you can find a good balance between support and fire power.

With the AJ were you using reave on everything that moved as well as putting down the bubble for teammates? Stripping shields with the engineer as well as using the decoy? Doing those things will be a help to the team and while you won't top any scoreboard 50-70k points should be doable.

Whenever I dropped my shield I was almost killed immediately, so my strategy for that match was to just help my team by drawing as much enemy aggro as possible. Didn't use powers or weapons but focused on helping my team with my Paladin's blocking abilities.

Wait you play Firebase White Geth mostly? Unless, you don't stay in that counter area tight at the back, it doesn't make you a good player.
Plus, 10K points is pretty pathetic, even for a support class. The paladin shield is quite useless when nearly enemy attacks one shot it on platinum. You'd be better of spamming snap freeze to debuff enemies and weaken armour, as well as energy drain for shields/barriers. Shield is useless, snap freeze is amazing. You definitely got carried, and the fact that you didn't use snap freeze make me think that you aren't a good player.

I saw your post OP. Sorry for breaking it to you, but you aren't a 'very good' player as you believe so. 10k on Platinum means you were carried.

With the AJ my main focus was to have the defensive bubble where my teammates needed it most, I do not have any points in Reave on that one but instead I focused on full Fitness and Pull. Thing is, when I tried to use my powers or shoot my weapon I died so fast, had to use all of my medigels and ops packs before wave 6, mostly with  the AJ I tried to stay close to my teammates to revive them and let them revive me (cause I only have 6 medigels).

People who play the paladin and sit there with a their shields deployed for long stretches really grind my gears. You're not helping the team as much as you think you are. You want damage output, and a deployed shield outputs zero damage.

Blocking an enemy's shots is not as good as killing said enemy. A living enemy can stop shooting your shield and switch aggro to a teammate, a dead enemy cannot.

Seriously whenever i play a support role on plat and do nothing but support i get atleast 20k (sometimes 25k) but what makes it worse is you use hybrid classes like salarian and asari and get 20k... if i used them id get around 50-60k...

It is a hard difficulty and what you are describing is just a good strategy for that map and enemy. Also when I play that one with randoms we get extraction at least 75% of the times (which I said in my opening post) and I know for a fact that most players can't even reach extraction on gold. So YES, it does make me a good player!!
