Can someone explain to me how this can be a co-op game and yet people are saying I am getting carried?!

Wait you play Firebase White Geth mostly? Unless, you don't stay in that counter area tight at the back, it doesn't make you a good player.
It is a hard difficulty and what you are describing is just a good strategy for that map and enemy. Also when I play that one with randoms we get extraction at least 75% of the times (which I said in my opening post) and I know for a fact that most players can't even reach extraction on gold. So YES, it does make me a good player!!
Wow. That strategy just makes you bad. especially since you actually FAIL with that strategy. It's the easiest thing to do. You can't fail unless the players suck. Which you do.
Gold is easy too. Go back to bronze. SO YOU DO ACTUALLY SUCK.

10k in a platinum? Yeah you were carried. Contrary to popular opinion: score does matter.
The support role is a lie. There is only damage output.
Through damage output I gain kills
Through kills I gain points
Through points I gain credits
Through credits, my packs are bought.
The DPS shall free me.
Philosophical pondering : I think the Maker, in creating Humanity, somewhat overestimated his ability.
Commentary : from the moment I started reading the OP's post, until I decided to reply, I was convulsed with laughter. Someday I intend on reading it.

cant be possible 10k means you nearly never shoot and use any powers !
using one rocket on platinum gives you at least a couple of 1000 points!
just respec your AJ and put max on reave and by just spamming it the whole game you will at least 3x your score !
the best help is to shoot as many targets or deal as much damage as possible , in some rare cases a shield might save some one the way you used it but you dont want to be a reviving stone the entire match?
I was doing a lot of revives, and my teammates were playing GI or Destroyers mostly so they could take down enemies fast enough when I draw the aggro so they would get in line you know.

Still hoping you're trolling, but if not, understand this; killing/damaging enemies is one of the biggest ways to contribute. There are other aspects, but 90% of the game is just killing enemies, and that's reflected in the score. Using debuffs helps the whole team to take stuff down faster, but enemies get bored of stuff that isn't shooting back pretty quickly and aim for stuff that actually is a thread, so doing NOTHING but standing there with your shield basically makes you a hole sitting where a fourth, better player could be.dumdum2 wrote...
It is just a matter of different play styles, one is not necessarily better than the other. And, in a co-op game score doesn't matter at all, it is how you contribute to the team that matters.sanitarium616 wrote...
People who play the paladin and sit there with a their shields deployed for long stretches really grind my gears. You're not helping the team as much as you think you are. You want damage output, and a deployed shield outputs zero damage.
I don't want to be a dick, but if you're not a troll, then yes, silver (maybe even bronze, honestly) is where you should be until you get a bit better at the game and/or unlock better stuff.

I already have most of the stuff except the ultra rares, as I said I have been playing since launch and I have also been playing a lot of gold to get the money to buy packs. Don't worry about that my friend

Hey, debuffs have a place in Platinum too! Admittedly, I'm speaking pretty specifically of Proximity Mine's 20% damage increase, primarily, but that's still an important aspect of DPS!RoZh2400 wrote...

Carrying = One person performing at a sub-par level, deliberately or not, resulting in other players having to put more effort in to succeed due to the lesser benefits of the teammate
Coasters = Players who literally just sit around for the ride and gain the benefits that the team gains. Not to be confused with idlers (whom perform no action whatsoever) or carried players (whom are putting effort in, but it is insufficient to be "filling your role")
Pros = Players who are being paid to play games. non-literally, players who believe themselves to be above average skill in game, usually by actually performing to such skill while maintaining the "code" of the internet.
Hardcore Pros = Not to be confused with Pros, players who self-proclaim themselves as skilled, either by word or by performing non-related skills (such as no-scoping or similar tasks not regarded as being actually skillfull), regularly complain about the skill of other players, regardless of actual in-game ability or role-filling. Prone to blame non-existent or constant in-game scenarios as their reason for failing, not their skill. Will have something against virtually all other players and generally regarded as the "scum of the scum of the internet".
I think you are being told so by the last group of player mentioned. If not, then it is possible that either:
a) You're having a bad day and weren't up to scratch during your performance, for whatever reasons, we don't care, we just want you to get back to your old skill level.
c) You were actually pretty bad, and you should probably practice a bit more, or on the other hand, you are a player, if you don't want to improve your ability to play the game, we are not entitled to make you. If you're or you think you are at your peak in terms of gaming capability, then there's nothing that can be done, it's not your fault.
Hope it helps.

Reave is the justicar's best power, by far. In fact, it's one of the best biotic powers in the game. Skipping it is a horrible mistake.
I'm sorry to say this, but you should not consider yourself a good player. You have quite a bit to learn about the game.
Ehh, no it is not. On Silver for example I use the Acolyte on my Justicar, strip the enemies barriers or shields then use pull on them and shoot them again. On Platinum the time it took for me to charge up my Acolyte made me get killed all the time, so maybe that combination wasn't the best but I will definately try out reave or another weapon later on that difficulty.
Thing is, I didn't use Reave cause I see it mainly as a power that is defensive for me only while my other powers can actually help my team.
Holy S**** you're really beeing serious?? How old are you? 8? 10?
Look I'm sorry but as much as your play stiyle reflects your philosophy of life, which indeed could be called beauifoul I have to tell you, you suck.
Unfortunatelly you have failed to grasp the essence of ME3 multiplayer-killing
Out of 11 waves 7 of them are strictly kill-oriented. The faster you kill on those waves the more you are helping the team, it's all ok if you revive your teammates, but reviving your temamates while in a death zone, without providing cover fire, and killing enemies, your teammates will go down again. You absolutely MUST be flexible, protect when needed and slaughter the rest of the time.
Since you're so in love with Acolyte I'd say you're a really, really slow player. Your current state of mind is not usefull at all on Platinum, and kind of annoying on Gold, since you can be swarmed with enemies.
Write Jumpin productions ME3 on Youtube and take a look at how he plays. He plays like an as****, not caring about objectives, and mostly doing his own lone-wolf stuff. Try to be more like him, and when you're succesfull, then implement your care-share strategis to help your teammates.

I'm guessing at 10K, they were probably reviving you.
I had a guy like that in a gold match last night. After about the third wave and a dozen face plants later, we didnt even bother getting him back up the rest of the game.

Too bad it's Firebase White Geth. And even then, you fail some games. With that map/enemy combo and camping at the back? How? You need to play the other maps and enemies more on the lower difficulties.

Hey, you never know. Sometimes people are slow starters. Honestly, in U/U/G, I die on wave 1 about 90% of the time. It's weird, and I don't get it at all, but that's the wave where I'm most likely to die. I do fine after a wave or two, but especially if it's your first of the night, the early waves, there's no rythm or flow to it all yet.iTrollz0r wrote...

...but yeah, generally a solid choice. 3 waves is long enough to tell that a player is just bad.

The shield ability is situational, and should only be used when banshee warps are incoming, a brute is about to collide with your face, an atlas has launched a missile at you and you lack sufficient cover, or if a grenade is next to you and no cover is available. You can't block bullets very well unfortunately, and you're better off supporting the team by setting up tech bursts, fire or cryo explosions, or generally doing anything that doesn't involve sitting on one knee trying to stop bullets.

A few posts up, a guy linked a thread where he posted screenshots of failing hardcore in Platinum before, so he's absolutely trolling, since he claims in the OP that it was his first run. It was good for the lulz, though, while it lasted. I have some of my faith in this playerbase back.lazysundae wrote...
Just to avoid the afk kick, you would have to fire your gun or a power more often than 10k points worth. Unless you're Yosemite Sam and just shoot everything in to the air like a ******.
Yes, I totally know we're being trolled here.
Don't be so sure about that 10k stuff, though. There was this one Platinum match the other day, a glacier/cerb farming run, where at least half the team was terribad, and one got 15k with a GE. He spent a fair amount of time firing at the cieling with his particle rifle I.

By Gold you mean Geth on Firebase White right? Because that doesn't really count as a Gold match. Its totally fine if you like to play support roles and I like having someone on my team like that but even while supporting you can still shoot stuff. I agree that is was rude of the others to just kick you. But you can't expect that you can stay in a platinum lobby with a 10K score.
