So you didn't even get a 50 assist medal I bet...Snap freezing or w/e in between shield plants should at least give you 30k+. Being a support doesn't mean not killing enemies and not contributing.Anyone could take aggro and still do some mean dps..You could strip shields,debuff and etc and STILL score decently.

Oh, and there's no such thing as a "support" class in ME3. There are "better" classes than others, but any class can be badass with the right build and weapon loadout.

BS. An Infiltrator specced for cloak duration is support as an Infiltrator specced for damage will top the leaderboard.
And what about the SE's decoy? You don't get any points for it, but it stops complete armies of Geth pushing forward.

With the SE's decoy up the Infiltrator, Destroyer, Demolisher and Adept can go completely crazy on stationary enemies. No matter what weapon the SE has, he will be last on the scoreboard. But apparantly he just got carried

Op, my advice to you is to stick to gold for a bit and try to work on your kills. Though being a support class is helpful, when it comes down to you being the only one left alive, you're gonna want to be able to take a lot of stuff out yourself. 

Ok, but I am already good at gold and have been playing that a lot, so now I want to do platinum instead and apart from the low score I did really well in that match. The whole point was to help my teammates get more kills faster and easier, so with that in mind you wouldn't say I was carried would you?

Yes, but the whole point was to not kill enemies but instead draw as much aggro as I could. If I would try to use my Acolyte or use the Energy Drain I have and at the same time let my shield down, with all the enemies shooting at me I would be dead in the blink of an eye.

That is just so true! But I can score quite decently with the SE when I play on gold (FBWGG) and I think that it is a great class to use. Taking it to platinum was a bit harder though, but all things considered I did well and was not carried!

Do you not get enough attention at home or what????  One thread you want to do a paltinum duo then on this one you say you score 10k .  You are nothing but a troll and a bad one at that.  And if you did do that in a game you are  griefing other players find a better way to amuse yourself.

Seriously, I am getting very tired of hearing from randoms that I am getting carried. I have basically been playing this game since launch and even though I am not one of the best players out there I know I am a very good player.

Thing is, I usually play support roles and I play them in a way that benefits the whole team and not just myself. I can hold my own in a game on bronze and silver (haven’t solo’d them yet but again, it’s a co-op game) and on gold (mostly Firebase White and Geth) we reach extraction at least 75% of the time.

Today I played a Platinum match for the first time using my Paladin, I got about 10 k in score (map and enemy were not random so that’s why my score was so low) but I contributed by blocking enemy shots with my shield and also reviving people a lot. After the match I was kicked and got a message that I suck and that I should go back to bronze!!! <_<

Did another match again after that and this time I used my Asari Justicar and got over 20 k in points, got kicked and got another message! Did one more match with Salarian Engineer and got around 20 k, was kicked and got a message!!!

What people need to understand is that score really doesn’t matter, I am a good player and I was helping the team a lot, I didn’t save on my consumables as “bad” players do but instead I used all of my medigels and ops packs in all of my games. I would say that it is all the other players that just can’t comprehend the meaning of co-op? If I am helping the team by playing a support role like that, how in hell can they say I am getting carried?! Can someone explain this to me because I sure as hell can’t understand how that could be the case

lol this thread is a good one. 10k on platnium? I almost fell for it. But all it took was one click to casually look at the OP's manifest to notice he can probably easily get 100k on a plat match blindfolded

Also notice he made sure to mention FBWGG. Obviously its a stab at making fun of farmers as well

Well, I did hide my manifest first so there would be no way of telling if I had a good manifest or not, changed it back when I thought this thread was dead but still people come in here and write 

But with all the good advices I have been given in this thread I now have the confidence to continue playing on Platinum with my support classes

I had a guy like that in a gold match last night. After about the third wave and a dozen face plants later, we didnt even bother getting him back up the rest of the game.

Sadly I can say that I've had a game like that as "That guy". in my defence, I was hit with the "Can't take cover glitch" and was squishy at the time for those Geth swarms. I didn't even hold it against my team mates when they just stopped Reviving me if I died.

I agree with you. As long as you are not a hinderence, as in get downed or killed often, then the whole 'carried' is irrelevent. This is a co-operative objective game, not Team Deathmatch on Call of Crap...

I tend to play adaptable classes that are flexible and reliable.

My main problem (aside from preferring support over damage roles, which is still an issue) is that I prefer to work 'smart' rather than fast - things like kiting/clustering enemies, pick them off one at a time so I can deal with threats without distraction, making sure I know where everything is before I attack.

In a group, suddenly it is attack-attack-attack. I can solo Silver, yet when I play Bronze I am still often in third or fourth place. I've had times when I've been at the top in Silver/Gold, but that's only when hosting (and I've yet to host a Plat, I only client since my connectivity issues means better I get shafted rather than three teammates. I usually only host two-mans these days).

As a result, when I am playing with a good team, I look like I'm getting my ass carried. But when I'm playing with a bad team, or if the rest of them goes down, I'm adaptable. Less if I'm a client, because NZ connection. But if I'm hosting, damn, believe it. Of course, the first few seconds are the hardest, because they're all over the map from following teammates. But I can get 'er done...

...even if I'm playing with bad teams such as those three idiots that never entered the hacking circle even after I asked over the mic, and then died within what felt like seconds, all along the large ramp closest to spawn (FB:Giant), leaving me to solo Wave 10 hack in the room left of home spawn... of course the hack moved incredibly slowly because only 25% of the team was in the circle, but if it had given my human sentinel 15 MORE SECONDS I would have carried their asses through the entirety of Wave 10. (Reapers, Silver. I never PUG a Gold, and it wasn't a Bronze so these guys really ought to know better.)
