firebase white geth gold.

glacier cerberus gold

its just getting out of hand with those 2 maps and spesific enemies, i sometime just wish bioware remove them from multiplayer so we can have proper games from now on.

I doubt it is the balance changes. The game would probably be LESS popular without them since guns/classes would be OP and you'd get kicked for using anything else, so there'd be a 'right' playstyle many wouldn't like. (For example, I personally don't like the Claymore, so that popular playstyle holds no interest for me.) The point of balance it to make different styles equally valid.

I think the real problem is that MP is too static. The same mode, against the same enemies, on the same maps. Sometimes a new map or class, but the interest for that only holds for a few days. It is a solid attempt at their first try at MP, but until they make it more robust people are more likely to go to more engaging alternatives.

I can't comment on this at length as I just resumed playing MP last Friday after a 6 month absense. Surely, the advent of new DLC and platinum brought a few people back. I think the extent to which BW has kept adding to what some initially assumed to be throwaway multi-player is pretty commendable, actually.

That said, in terms of player base, it was never even in the same galaxy as the big military shooters. So, when a relatively small player base shrinks over time, we will eventually see a drop off in players.

Why do people always feel obliged to create a thread about an obivous phenomenon, IE every game is bound to see its player base decline over time ? It's always funnier to see people saying that nerfs are the main cause for this, especially when there haven't been any in weeks.

Let's be realistic, there can be plenty of reasons :

- People leaving because they are frustrated by the RNG store
- People leaving because they are frustrated by bugs
- People leaving because they are frustrated by connection problems
- People leaving because they are frustrated by the game being too easy
- People leaving because they are frustrated by the game being too hard and by nerfs
- People leaving because we're currently waiting for a DLC and there has been nothing new for a while

But above all that the most common reason is probably that some people get bored of the game, after all it can be fairly repetitive especially if you play farming setups mostly (which seem very appealing due to the nature of the store but are more like a poisonous candy in terms of fun in my opinion).

Aside from that there will always be people like me who can cope with all the above mentioned reasons and still enjoy the game, although playing it less often than before.

Anyway the player base dwindling is a common phenomenon for any game and there can be multiple reasons for people leaving. I don't know why people feel obliged to say "this is the reason why people leave" and "this will bring the end of the game soon", just because they want to feel like they were right to stop playing.

While the reasons for the MP community dwindling are varied, I think as an example, BSN mods handling of Arelex isn't helping. If you have a fan group that exists solely to get people excited about the MP and help bolster and build that community, why hassle them? BEtween this and SP issues, sometimes it seems like Bioware actively dislikes its fans.

nerfing, disconnects, loss of credits, store being a joke as per usual, bugs, glitches.

the promise of a patch to fix things but it has never happened, by the time they do it willl be too late.

I see the "decline" claim made repeatedly but I haven't seen anyone present evidence. How can you notice a decline? At any given time you have no idea how many people are actually playing. In Silver (and even Gold) I see lots of low N7 ratings with low ranked weapons, which indicates new players.

played a pug this last weekend, three players at 52, or below.

Poor moderation, lack of innovative DLCs and Op Weekends, terrible bug fixing pace and a general tedious element to the current game design.

There won't be a decline in good players ever again like there will be in the next week.

Pretty much this.  One heavy-handed moderation has done what tons of game-breaking bugs, glitchers, cheaters, and repetitive gameplay couldn't - remove ME3 from my Xbox.

Have all the characters, have almost all of the weapons. There's not much to do anymore. But when that new DLC comes out i'll be all over that.

Well said, I will be deleting my account here very soon. Likely trading in this game, for what it is barely worth, for something new. Probably Borderlands 2. See you on our new site Wyld ( and everyone else from AreleX ).

Repetitive. They should of made it more story-focused based, IMO.
