Anyone who likes fantasy games knows the Myth series.  The UI in Myth was similar to the DAO and DA2 games in both appearance and function.  In fact, the gameplay was similar as well.  Naturally, the DA games have smaller squads, and better characters, and better overall stories, but Myth had a good back story to it and strong Black Company dark fantasy feel to it years before people wet themselves over Game of Thrones.

Myth's multiplayer would fit perfectly into the DA3 world... isolated pockets of darkspawn, Ferelden/Orlais conficts, Qunari/Tervinter...  The available faction combinations are hugetastic.  They could go with the point based system a la Warhammer and the new XCom MP modes, or have people control their own set sized squads individually.  This could be combined with the multiplayer mode from Total War: Rise of the Samurai, where you get an individual hero unit that you can then use to support the rest of your squad.

This would be a perfect way to add MP to DA3.  There are a ton of Myth 1, 2, 3 videos on YouTube still.  You should check them out.
