You are 11.1% Good.
You are 30.8% Chaotic.

Alignment: Chaotic Neutral

You follow your own personal whims. You are first and foremost an individualist. You value your own freedom and liberty but won't necessarily strive to protect that of others'. You hate restrictions, challenge traditions, and shun authority. You may be at times unpredictable, but your actions are not random or without thought.
You are the stereotypical “Free Spirit.” You feel truly free from both society's restrictions and the zeal of a do-gooder.
Examples of charactersand people who fit into the same alignment as you include Dr. Frankenstein, Dr. Moreau, Tarzan, and Tyler Durden.

Interesting. I usually get True Neutral and I identify myself as such, but here I got Lawful Good.

But I think the test is flawed because it doesn't really ask you about intentions, perceptions and why you do certain things, which I think are as important if not more so, for alignment purposes, than actions.

True Neutral.

25% Good
12.8% Chaotic

Not sure what that says about me, except that I'm clearly not a goody-goody, and that I'm Aetheist (though not every True Neutral person will be Aetheist).

You are 8.3% Evil.
You are 17.9% Chaotic.

True Neutral.

You do whatever seems like a good idea at the time. You don't feel any strong inclination towards good vs. evil or law vs. chaos. Some may say that you lack conviction, while others might admire you for your capability of remaining unbiased. You likely prefer good versus evil in society, since good people tend to make better neighbors and rulers, but you are not personally committed to upholding good in any abstract or universal way.

You are the stereotypical “Balancer.” You act in a way that is natural to you without prejudice or compulsion.

Huh. Strangely accurate.

Neutral Evil.

You do whatever you can get away with. You are out for your own self interests. You care little about those who you hurt, no matter what the cause. You have no love for order and don't believe that respect for laws, traditions, or codes of conduct make one better or more noble. On the other hand, you are not restless and have no love of conflict.

You are the stereotypical “Malefactor.” You represent evil without variation or honor.

I usually slide between neutral-evil and chaotic-evil. Can't say this was a particularly good alignment test though.

Though I do have to wonder about how some of these answers were scored.  Basically, I tried to be nice, but I'm not a pushover.  Some of these (like the squirrel, or the roommate with the cold) were just ridiculous.  I might do a little, but I'm not going to disregard my own needs for theirs in those types of cases.  Other answers seemed really obvious what alignment they would push you towards, like most of the evil ones.  I haven't taken many alignment quizzes, but this one was structured fairly well.  That homosexuality one came outta nowhere though.

You are correct.

People will lie when asked about intentions. Very very often so. Not to mention the problem of "what constitutes intention".

From the stand-point of objective analysis, deeds and actions can and should in many cases constitute intention, near perfectly for the purposes of research. Besides, the people who'd act in neatly-construed examples with unique intentions in mind are rare. Firstly, situations where guessing about a person's true intention is too difficult are often situations where the one in question decides on his behavior because of extra and clear info about the current place and time. In the construed examples in this test we were talking about very loosely yet narrowly defined "possible worlds".

This test does take some implied intentionality in play (aside the obvious understanding of the intentions for all whom understand a bit about these relatively novel D&D "moral categories"). Specifying lines such as "
Hell, it's only $2.00. This kind of thing happens all the time." help out.

Generally your level of selflessness is considered your level of "good" and your level of selfishness is considered your level of "evil". IMO alignments make more sense when you think of them that way.
