I have played ME! and ME2 successfully migrating save from ME1 to ME2 just fine. However when I had to build a new PC I made sure to save all the ME1 and ME2 game save data to the new PC. I have recently installed ME3 but cant figure out how to migrate ME2 save. In the ME3 menu it gives option to migrate but I cant figure out how to find ME2 save. Remember all I have from ME2 are the save data. So I installed ME2, then placed the old saves in the proper folder but because the DLC content wasnt there the ME2 game wont load. All I want to do is play ME3 using my old ME2 character. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
How do I migrate my character from ME2 to ME3

If you kept the ME2 save data in the default folder (My Documents\\Bioware\\Mass Effect 2\\Save), then you should be able to start a new game in ME3 and choose the "Import ME2 Character" (or whatever the option is) and it should automatically detect your ME2 save(s) and you can use it. You shouldn't have to copy your ME2 saves into the ME3 save folder.

I forgot to mention that I played ME1 and ME2 on XP pro, but I installed ME3 on Windows 7. Would that matter?

As long as your save is in the Documents\\Bioware\\Mass Effect 2\\Save folder it should import
