For slow immobile characters Banshees are more dangerous
For weak brittle characters Geth Primes are more dangerous.

Geth primes are the easiest of the giants in my opinion. I didn't know anyone considered them difficult.

Banshees are the worst. They're not too hard to kite, but if there's any other reapers around (or a ravager) they're difficult to avoid.

Depends on the character one is using. The kroguard can take two primes out without a problem but is killed quickly by the banshee.

No

Equip a Ramp Shield and a Stairs Ring and Banshees do 0 damage

2 Primes with their silly 4 Turrets can and will deplete Shield+Shield Gate + Health + Health gate, before you can say oh shi-

lol

It is hard to plan for them though. They pass through walls and grab me so quickly.:crying:
I was playing the kroguard on platinum and some of the kills were total bs. Magnet hands are hard on the vanguards.

1 on 1, the Prime unless you're a krogan vanguard. The turrets are brutal for short range weapon users and the tracking triple shots keeps you in cover. Especially fun when you're pressing the spacebar to get into cover and 1 beam hits which cancels your attempt to get into cover, then repeat another 2 times.

The Banshee one on one is simple as long as you play it safe and wait out her teleporting aura.

Banshee's, because they teleport through walls and have magnet hands for cheap sync kills.

Primes are annoying for their turret spam, though.

Geth Turrets by far. The second you kill one its right back and in an even better position to kill you.

Banshees are the hardest to kill.

By which I mean they're physically a pain to kill because they're thinner than primes, faster moving and have a power shield.

Whether or not they're harder to fight is a different question. I'd say they still are myself, though I can see the hate for Primes. Primes may have homing sniper rockets, but at least they don't lurk just around corners waiting to insta-kill you.

Using any type of power while the banshee is teleporting will stop it.

Primes, the stuntlock thing is just lame... the moment you realize you are beign hit and recognize its a prime you pretty much already took two shots from it and are locked on your place waiting for the 3rd one to land.

Turrets only add insult to injury, but the rate at wich these little piece of garbage can kill you is just god like, not to mention they can be deployed in places that defy known science. Reminds me of Clarke's 3rd law. "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic"

But anyway. everything about the geth is just troll mode.

Banshees are only hard because of the magnet grabs, and maybe because most people dont quite realize they really need to focus on maraduers and ravagers BEFORE dealing with banshees.
Also ive only found hard to deal with a banshee when i cannot just focus on it for 1 continous minute and when im using single shot snipers or the crusader.. (yeah i know...)

Banshee, gotta love dem tractor-beam-hands.

Primes are just... Easy. Take a little bit to kill, yes, but just pop into decent cover pewpew from range, avoid the StunCannon bursts and your usually fine... Or my experience in Golds.

I'd say Primes, because:

a) stunlock;
B) annoying sniper turrets;
c) relentless pulse cannon barrage that turns corners.

Banshees. My kroguard can take everything else on Platinum but banshees are his bane. The hugs are too much. If platinum had no banshees platinum would be the easiest thing ever for him. one on one there easy but they usually aren't alone.

Neither. I think Marauders and Geth Rocket Troopers are more of a pain. Banshees you can't stay in cover but if you are buff enough you can melee them on the stairs without fear. Primes you can go from cover to cover, and they go down quicker. Having 3 or more coming at you could be a problem if they are cross firing. You didn't mention Atlas, but they are weakest, but are stronger than Phantoms which although can be deadly they just can't take a barrage and there's numerous powers that can spank them good with careful timing. Lash will tame that dominatrix.

Your best friend is the stairs.  The Kroguard is probably the best character to tango with the Banshee.  If done right, she'll beg you to marry her.

Platinium without banshees? Pffttt
now... imagine platinium without PHANTOMS
or as EDI would say... "That was a joke"

It's sad that this is what I was thinking before I opened the thread. The banshee has the scare factor of the instakill and the warp ball but the prime can kill you in cover with the turrets and can have at least four of them on the field at the same time which is complete and total BS. I despise the Geth more than words can describe.

Even the ramp fails sometimes and really is only good to pull off on the long ramps.

this, but out of the two, its banshees b/c half my bullets miss when teleporting, with primes you can charge with a kroguard

It really depends. In one on one a Prime would be more annoying for most classes. However with back-up, or even two+ of them the Banshee is a lot more deadly. They seem to stagger their tele-port modes. VERY hard to kill then.

I'd go as far as saying two Banshees would be almost impossible to solo while 3-4 Primes wouldn't.

Primes when at range (stupid triple-blast gun), banshees up close and with a bad connection.

Banshees. When I shoot at a prime, I can expect to hit it. Not so with a banshee.

On higher difficulties - the Cerberus Engineer.

Why?

They place turrets which will basically insta-kill you if you accidentally leave cover (or leave to do an objective) and they constantly repair Atlases if you don't stop them.
