I'm sorry if such idea was discussed several (maybe dozens) times, but since I'm a new member of community...

What if we could choose which style (DA:O or DA2) we prefer to play.

(I) Dialog wheel or phrases (PC will still voice them)
*Possible problem:
- 2 times more script checking
- Bugs if you allow player to switch between those options after starting a playthrough
- Might cripple game pacing since you have to read and then also listen to PC (DA:O choice). Option to skip PC's VA I consider blasphemous, considering how much time, money and talent was poured into it.

(II) Companion's equipment. (PC's choice or auto lvl-up)
I know many people didn't like the way armor set was bound to companions in DA2. But there is a good side to that. You didn't have to check extra 4 slots (armor, gloves, boots and hood) after every mission to see if you acquired better pieces. Now that I think about it a used a lot of time just checking 2 rings, belt, amulet and weapon. Some people enjoy doing that (myself included) but new/casual gamers might find it boring/pacing damaging SPECIALLY if they are console users (it some kind of clicking hell).

So BEFORE starting playthrough we can choose between PC's choice or auto-level Armor set (DA2). Developers already said that by giving companion an armor his/her look will only alter a bit, not change dramatically. So if you give "auto-level" a possibility to customize companion's look with an option in equipment screen. Just the same visual improvement that "PC's armor choice" will have. To get them you'll have to buy upgrades(DA2)/ reach xx level/ finish personal quest and so on.

*Possible problems
- Armor/stat Balancing. (If at the end of the day "PC's" will be stronger that "Auto" then you could add a +...% small bonuses to customized pieces or just extra rune slot)
- Economy/Loot Balancing
- Customization rage. ("auto-level" are getting their own customization setting but "PC's choice" are bound to equipped armor look. Look changing NPC can fix that)

If Bioware wants to please everyone, I think there going to have to offer different modes of play.
I'm not talking about small tweaks, I mean vastly different ways to play the game.
For example, I want a mode that lets me directly control my character during combat, while other people want the same point and click combat. Unless different gameplay modes are added, someone is going to lose out and its going to effect sales.
