Hello everyone,
a week ago, my copy of Mass Effect 3 (PC version, Origin), started freezing whenever i try to join a multiplayer match or i try to make a lobby.
Basically, when i click the "Search/Create" button in the multiplayer menu, the connecting icon in the upper left corner of the screen pops up and spin for half a second, then the whole game freezes. The background music keeps playing and the mouse cursor keeps moving, but i'm forced to kill the process from the Task Manager.
I get no error messages at all, and this happens just for the multiplayer section of the game at random times (8 out of 10, more or less).
At the beginning i thought it was the Leviathan DLC causing this issue, since it started happening after i downloaded it, but a little while ago i've read a similar topic here on the BSN and the issue was never resolved completely. So it existed before the DLC was out.
I tried even disabling the HD textures mods i've installed (althought they never gave me issues at all), but it keeps happening.

I'm pratically unable to play the multiplayer section of the game, since trying multiple times to start the game until it works is time expensive, in fact it takes more than a minute to get to the multiplayer menu because of the multiple checks the game makes for DLCs and the other stuff, so i lose almost half an hour each time before being able to play (restarting both PC and Origin, checking for updates or repairing installation doesn't work either).

Any clues on what to do?

PS: I do regular maintainance to the PC, so drivers are up to date and the HDD clean. And this is the only game giving me troubles online, everything else works fine.

There are lots of threads with this issue, and I too had the same problem. I found a fix and would like to post in all of the related threads, but for now hopefully people will see this one. This should make your multi-player playable. Go to extras in the main menu, go to online, then turn the feedback OFF. After NINE months, and countless interactions with EA I figured this out myself. EA insisted it was an issue on my end, and had me try numerous things like setting ports, reinstalling the game, etc. all to no avail. I'm proud to have finally figured it out myself, but disappointed that I missed out on all of the packs and weekends and things because no one at bioware or EA knew that the feedback was causing a problem.

Sorry to resume my thread, but i don't know if it was addressed by someone already: i managed to fix the freeze. Is anyone else still getting this?
