Great series, and there were high moments in 3, but there were too many issues and many, many better games than 3. You don't have to look further than either of the prequels. I've played each of them multiple times, but I didn't even care to finish 3 once [primarily because of youtubing the endings]. Best game ever made is kind of ridiculous when it can't even be claimed to be better than its prequels let alone other franchises from any genre on any console.... it's kinda ridiculous. I've been thinking of games that I thought were phenominal... Bioshock..... Red Dead..... Final Fantasies..... Xenogears..... Halo..... Some of the Zelda games.....GTA.... man, it's not even close if you think about it. It could have been the best game ever, but effectually, it wasn't.

I think Mass Effect 3 is the best game of 2012 for me, I really enjoyed it. Best ever though? I don't think so.

fixed it for you. It wasn't all on EA. Bioware's changing things because they got butthurt over it being leaked is their own fault.

Definitely not. Ending debacle aside, clunky gameplay (ie, rolling/cover), awful journal, terrible fetch quests, etc. Not even close to one of the best ever.

I think this is a misconception,
the ending is very unchanged from what actually happen despite the leak

Wouldn't even list ME3 in my top 30 best RPGs, much less best game in general.

I would say that ME3 is at least better than DA2, but even then not by a whole hell of a lot. Too many flaws, too much plot wtfery, too much dumping on their own characters... and characterization is usually Bioware's strong point.

I'd have to say best game ever would be the original Deus Ex.

Great game. Baldur's Gate 2 could compete with it though.

ME3 as stand alone: good game.

i would say no from a standalone point of view. BUT.
This is a trilogy so YES.
Come on guys, ME3 did a lot of things right.
ME2 which some say is better did a lot things wrong from ME1.
Me3 did a lot things wrong from Me2.
Each game is unique.
Me3 is a great game.

You speak as if me3 has almost bad scenes.
What do you think about tuchanca  and Ranoch arc and palaven mission (half of the game) ?
Also the interactions with Tali, Liara Garrus were extrememly well done whereas let;s say ijn ME2 all garus did was callibrations and all of a sudden Tali has a crush for shepard.
While i do like Me2 better Me3 has better interactions with it's characters.
Also a plus for me is that your squadies change their place i normandy and in citadel and interact each other.

It doesn't matter to me if the characters are on the Normandy or on the Citadel when I am there.  But I don't know of a game that would say in a graphic novel that something is suppose to continue when it doesn't.  They shouldn't say those things at all.  But it might still continue later.  The fact is that it should have been in the game when ME3 came out. and not later in a DLC if that even happens.  I agree that ME3 does have some great scenes, but it has it's share of problems as well.  People can agree with me on this point or not.  But ME2 was far better.  The DLC in that game is a perfect example.  ME3 should have come out a year later.  There was no reason to rush it at all.
