Well i am not sure about this actually. I just used some basic preset Tactics. But as soon as a battle starts i use the little button under the character portraits to select all 4 character. Then i right click an enemy so all 4 attack the same enemy at the same time. But when i do this is seems they don't fight according to the tactics i set.

When i only select my own character and make her attack and let the rest do there thing alone, they do seem to use there tactics. But this doesen't play very well cause they will smack random mobs instead of all focussing on one mob.

Am i doing something wrong here?

The tactics of selected characters are disabled. If you select all 4, none of them will use their tactics.

To make all 4 party members attack the same target try something like:

Set your Tank to attack nearest target. Give all other characters: Enemy - Target of [Tank] > Attack.

Also, after selecting them all and commanding an attack, quickly deselect them chosing but one you are forced to control, using F1-F4 keys... after first hit tactics will apply. Make sure you don't have them on (H)old.

Whats the point of having tactics if the minute u select all 4 characters its disabled ?? i simply want to have all characters attack the same enemy and if there health goes below 25% to simply take a potion yet i cant do this ??? makes no sense and has just ruined the entire experiance for me.

No need to select all characters, just lead the battle with Y.

I have some tactics setup and let them run on occasion. But call me crazy, I like micromanaging the battles. It's closer to the RPG style I'm used to.
