Budget restraints, but probably not what you're thinking.  Memory budgets.  Body assets are often preloaded to be faster rather than streaming in from disc.  When you can share an asset like that you can optimize memory and allow for better performance (or just prevent crashes in general).

Makes sense.

I agree that oversexualization in a game tends to get annoying. Even more so when the game suddenly becomes prudent when actual sex is about to happen.

So, tasteful love scens: OK. But don't make women in the game all look like they work in the Blooming Rose...

I also find oversexualization in games annoying. Having a "Mature" rating for sexual or violent content isn't nearly as impressive as having a mature portrayel of characters and situations.

That being said - I think Isabela is an example of a highly sexualized female character done right. She's in control of her own sexuality and honest in her enjoyment of it in a way normally only allowed male characters. I'm not a fan of her, but I do admire that she will NOT be **** shamed.
