Personally I love DA:O's music and think it's some of the  most atmospheric out there. I really hope that they use some of it again in DA:3 and think it contributed largely to the overall superb vibe in DA:O

Just wondering your thoughts on it and if anyone else thinks it's underrated?

Didn't it win the Oscar for best score?

What do you mean underrated? Is it under appreciated? Yes, probably. Although, the same can likely be said for most games.

I thought that while it's very atmospheric and appropriate, it's not all that... noticeable. I feel that it fits there, but I don't notice it on a conscious level. I'm not quite sure how to describe it. Perhaps that it clicks perfectly into place in the background?

The point I'm trying to make is that it's an excellent score, but not in a way that stands out in my mind by itself. I suppose that's very appropriate for atmospheric background music.

Yeah I agree. I liked the main theme a lot and it had that awesome section as it hits its climax. I like how it stated off slow and then built up the pace as it went on.

As for atmosphere, some of them are more memorable than others. The dwarven theme is probably one of the better ones and fit in with that environment really well and resonated what dwarven culture was about.

Bioware will probably take bits and pieces and integate them with any new music they do for games in the same franchise. They did this for Mass Effect so no reason why they won't do it for DA as well.
