Why does the PC master race get a big advantage?

What I'm talking about is looking around while you sprint. With the crappy controls on the consoles you have to remove your thumb from the analog stick to sprint, therefore you can't change the direction you're running unless you stop at every right angle to change your camera view.

It can be a pain in the ass trying to quickly get to point A to point B for an objective or revive when you have to stop so many times along the way.

While PC players can fly around the maps without ever having to stop to change camera angles.

Please Bioware let us re-map our controls.

Enemies on consoles have slower reactions to balance the low sensitivity of your controls.

Because we're the master race.

I would've thought that was obvious.

And PC users will argue their platform costs significantly more than a console in addition to having the quality of multiplatform games tethered to the lowest performing unit.

Both sides have a point.

There's a lot of myths that need busting regarding PC gamers and their games/setups.

Sell your "lowlife console" and buy a "Master race pc", that what i would have done anyways. :P

Yeah and us PC players get to deal with horrible multiplayer matching and wait times. So it all balances out.

Really, can't look while sprinting? PC wins again. Don't think I could ever swap to console.

Well, since ME was ported to PC later, wouldn't enemies have faster reactions on there as a poor attempt to balance out the fact that there's no anti-aim gremlin in the PC?

(Because we all know if PC games aren't better, even in a format where a joypad is a better controller, some subset of PC users will complain)

-that said, where's the keyboard/mouse support for Xbox?

Luckily, other than fighting games and the occasional Jump 'n' Run game, this is a rather rare occurence.

You pretty much answered your own question.

To me, this is the trump card in any mouse+kb versus controller debate.  Argue all you want about the speed and precision of a mouse vs thumbstick, controllers are still gimped by the fact that you have to remove a thumb from one stick or the other to use the face buttons and D-pad unless you adopt some ridiculous claw grip.

Someone should mention the horribly misaligned crosshairs that are autmatically corrected for the consolers and need to be kept in mind on pc (a couple pixel to the upper left, on all guns)

Thats why I wish my PC wasn't sh!t, well it plays older games and RTSs fine anyway. I miss looking around whilst sprinting.
But I've always had ME on xbox anyway.xP
@Bennet - swap back to console? Do people seriously have a 'one or the other' attitude?
I'm a gamer, both PC and console, worship me!

Edit - won't say no to keyboard/mouse for xbox though ;)

I won't argue with that because buying good (and expensive) stuff is my decission. My keyboard and mouse cost the same as an Xbox pack with game included. Needless to say that i'm not changing my gaming set up for a console never.

But to compensate, us console players have.....auto aim. Nevermind the fact that aim assist has a tendency to screw me over. But yeah, I agree with you, Jeff. Sprinting has always sucked for the console version and for no good reason. Made a topic about this a few months back: social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/343/index/12293197

There is no reason why the Xbox version is barred from using a mouse and keyboard or why the PC version is barred from using a gamepad other than the designer's whim. At least we can use things like Xpadder on the PC to work around these things.

That price tag has to try to make itself not look like a complete ****ing waste somehow. For around a thousand dollars, in addition to about a couple hundred every two or so years to keep it from going obsolete, you get all these little tiny pros and the ability to play with really pretty graphics. Then in a few years it slows/breaks down even with great care and know-how, like all electonics. Yeah, money well-spent. Even if I had a nice-paying job or won the lottery, I wouldn't put a single Penny into a building a gaming computer.

Microsoft barred use of keyboard and mouse on any game. I have this game for 360 and PC, I actually have almost every unlocked for the 360 but someone hacked my account once and now I can't use any EA online features because every time I call them they say that my gamertag is attached to a different account and I need to change my gamertag. Which I do not want to do. I just recently got the game for the PC to play with my friend, that in all this will be the last EA/Bioware game I will get. I really enjoy the multiplayer for this though. It is just sad I cannot use the damn manifest for my 360(this and battlefield3) after playing the game so much since launch. :[

Sorry for the rant, the thing is I play much better on the PC, than on the 360 but I still do very well on the 360. My friends and I cleared platinum 2nd try on release, and we can do gold without much problems (always could after a month of playing) .

Biggest issues for me for console vs PC

The turn speed is too slow. Analog turning speed sometime is just a little too slow for me.

Having to remove my hand from the analog stick to use any of the side buttons or the dpad, is just a big window for risk.

I have issues using CQC weapons like shotguns on the console. I have to stick to Rcarbine and the fullauto shotgun. Especially when you are trying to dodge and then fire off and dodge again which I like doing.

Based on my play style I normally use a heavy pistol, SMG or a assault rifle, majority of the time. On the PC I have no problems using any weapons. I can say the same for playing other 360 games also like Halo/battlefield3/gears of war.

Consoles are amazing, but ME3 looks much better and is easier for _me_ to play on the PC. I still play on 360 to play with most of my friends because 1, their pc isn't that great and 2 they are used to playing consoles and certain limitations which are easily adapted to. I plan on playing borderlands2 on both PC and 360 also (I have friends on both that are getting the game). I have no problems adjusting to either.

My xbox live gamertag is raiLhog if anyone wants to play. lol

If you ONLY use it for gaming, sure it might not worth it.  But you'll probably have a PC anyway, so you should only really consider the cost DIFFERENCE between a gaming PC and what you would get if gaming wasn't a factor.

Also, games on PC are generally cheaper.  Even when they aren't cheaper at release, you can get a lot of great deals in Steam sales and such.

As far as hobbies go, $1000 every few years is not bad at all considering how many hours you can spend on it.  My wife's CAMERA costs more than my gaming PC.

As far as spending more money for a marginally better experience, compare it to how many thousands people will spend on a car with a more powerful engine.

I spent around $2400 on my computer. I also play xbox. The computer is just more versatile, especially since I work in computers and programming. I was playing on xbox, but just got the game for pc. It's better looking and easier to play on PC, but consoles are great too.

That is false.

PC players do have a big advantage. and when i went to the BW even at comicon there were some PC players (but BW set it up for xbox) and they struggled alot and said they had tourble not beoing able to sweep and that the enemies seemed harder w/o being able to move as fast as they do.

with button remaps, medigel reload cancel, macros and programmible buttons, ability to sweep camera even when running

The pc players are at a huge advantage.

Also with that said there is somehting built in the console taht will not allow you to free move teh camera when running. I know this because i have the onza controller  (which i hated using i don't like it all) and you can remap buttons to the extra bumpers. So i remapped Y to my extra RB (for the Y power) and A to teh extra L (for sprint) which allowed me to never take my thumbs off the right thumb stick. so while sprinting i still can't pivot the camera
