I would've thought that was obvious.
Why does the PC master race get a big advantage?

I've had an Xbox for 7 years now, cost me £119.99.
A good PC gaming desktop back then would have cost around £800+ - unfortunately for the PC players they will constantly have to upgrade their machine to keep up with games coming out.

That price tag has to try to make itself not look like a complete ****ing waste somehow. For around a thousand dollars, in addition to about a couple hundred every two or so years to keep it from going obsolete, you get all these little tiny pros and the ability to play with really pretty graphics. Then in a few years it slows/breaks down even with great care and know-how, like all electonics. Yeah, money well-spent. Even if I had a nice-paying job or won the lottery, I wouldn't put a single Penny into a building a gaming computer.

This way my thumb is free to move the camera (but i have to use my middle finger to hit the shoulder button and triggers though).
I think this habit originated from playing Assassin's Creed where you often have to change the camera while running to make jumps properly.

No. You bought a console because you wanted to have no control over your hardware, software or gaming experience. You got exactly what you wanted. Please Bioware let us re-map our controls.

Even while using "the claw" grip, you still cannot turn the camera while running. It is a bit annoying. I got used to doing this playing COD and have always wished you could turn the camera while running in ME3 MPErnest Tse wrote...

I like using my PC because there's nothing more satisfying than cranking up a monstrously, huge case that sounds like a Bell Jet Ranger's turbine kicking in and causing the paint on the back wall to peel. At full juice, after the city kicks the secondary power grid in, I'm good to go and make a fool of myself in MP.
People think I'm compensating for something. *shrug*

This actually reminds me of my first gen 60GB PS3 fatty, which I still have but never use for exactly the same reasons you describe above. When I run it, it pretty much sounds like a space shuttle launch... the entire time. At the time I got it ('06 I think?), I probably could have bought or built an entry level gaming PC for the same price too - i.e. an arm, a leg and a couple of fingers and toes.
Me being the PC player I am I might not be the right guy to ask but when I've tested on consoles I guess I just got used to the idea of turning with the left stick while holding A / X down.
Maybe not the answer you're looking for, but it's all I've got
As mentioned in another reply here, death claw grip works a little bit, but it has to be a long arching turn. The camera will catch up with you eventually this way, but an abrupt 90 degree turn will stop sprint mode no matter how good your death claw grip is. It's just built into the controller schematic sadly.
I do play on both PC and Xbox though, and I find a pretty level pro and con list for both. When I play on the PC for awhile, it's a nice break to go to Xbox and not have to quick glance for the right keys and I get to kick back in a much more comfortable position to play. Side rolling is also much easier with a controller vs keyboard for me - and that's actually a fairly decent technique to prep for a sharp turn, making up for the sprint cut at least a little bit.
On the other hand, when I switch over to PC from Xbox, I feel like all the controls have been set free, particularly with the mouse. Everything is a ton quicker and responsive, and adjustable. I actually set up a gamepad (Nostromo) I had lying around unused for a long time just for ME3 MP on the PC. I have all keyboard controls on that and the thumbstick set up for direction. It works like a charm (I barely have to key-glance at all with it now, and can side roll almost as well as on the Xbox). Tried configuring an Xbox controller for ME3 using Xpadder and some of the other controller mappers at first, and they all caused major lag since they have to run in the background and I couldn't get a good match on the Xbox controller layout with any of them. It's a shame, because you can see the Xbox controller mapping right in the files of the PC version of ME3, but there's the whole HUD problem messing it's usefulness all up.

To that, I answer: It's entirely optional, but at least PC players CAN upgrade their machines to get better results. Buy a console, and you're stuck with whatever quality the hardware market was at a year before it released.BetrayerOfNihil wrote...

As a PC player you can still play all those games even after 5 years. Perhaps not at max settings, but still with results similar to what a 5 year old console would make out of them. And if you want to upgrade your old machine to the new specs, then that'll cost as little as the next generation of consoles would cost you.
No idea why people still buy consoles, really. The whole concept should've died with the Atari 2600.

Btw...I use this grip a lot...mostly for charge weapons though, so I can still use my right button power easily.
Took some getting used to, but it works wonders once you do.
Edit: Edited yours a little.

This is incredibly awkward for many players to try to do, especially when the controller has two free buttons that can still be used: both the left and right analogue click-in buttons. Strange that the other devloper only chooses to post and brag a bit about his PC specs rather than address the issue console players have with sprinting.

Like I had said a moment ago, its unusual at first, but once you get used to it not only will you be more dextrous
But you will be able to run circles (literally) around your teamates.

Like I said, a claw grip is not necessary when there are free buttons to use, hell, even a fixed camera angle would do the trick.

Ive had mine for a few years, only replaced my previous one cause it was a low end system i bought to hold me over till i could get a better computer put together.
Tyipicaly I will upgrade, better graphics card, better/more ram, secondary hard drive and spend $50 bucks.
By the way, how much does it cost to replace a console when one minor part goes out, like the graphics card? The hard drive? Or even the CD tray?
