Hi all! This morning I've installed the latest Nvidia driver for my notebook (306.23WHQL). After this update, the game crash at EA logo screen, that with the blood dragon, but it is like a freeze. I've turned off the directX 11 and so the game goes on and I can play. Seems a directX 11 problem. Can anyone with a Nvidia card and the latest driver installed confirm this my doubt? I've tried vary system configuration and the problem occur only with the directX 11 activated.

Here my system configuration:
Intel Core i5-480M
Nvidia Gefotce GT 540M with 2 GB
4 GB DDR3 Memory RAM
Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit

Thanks for the attention.

Most simply, really, is just get rid of that driver, and go back to whatever was wprking before. nVIDIA constantly releases broken drivers.

Hey BlackIB, I'm having the same exact problem. Did you find a solution or are we stuck running the game on medium graphics with directx 9?

And we are not alone, on the Geforce site a massive number of users is having issues, I've compiled a form to report the issue. The solution is to wait for the next driver realese to see if Nvidia resolved it. In the meantime we can return at the previous driver to playing on directX 11, but I prefer to wait. :)

Their user forum was offline so long, I had wondered if they had decided against fixing it.

Forum is still offline. Users are using the comments below the driver news, who knows when they decide to reopen the forum...

It is indeed a driver issue. After updating my drivers, the game would crash during the opening cinematic (but for some strange reason I was able to load an old post-game save). After rolling back the driver to the previous one the game seems to be working fine.

So much for thinking every new driver is an improvement over the previous one... :P

nVIDIA isn't the only source for such goofs. The summer drivers released by AMD for Radeons had problems that the 12-4 (spring) drivers did not have.
