Obsidian kickstarter.

www.kickstarter.com/projects/obsidian/project-eternity

Do the right thing people and plege this out of sight.

Obsidian Entertainment and our legendary game designers Chris
Avellone, Tim Cain, and Josh Sawyer are excited to bring you a new
role-playing game for the PC. Project Eternity (working title) pays homage to the great Infinity Engine games of years past: Baldur’s Gate, Icewind Dale, and Planescape: Torment.

Project Eternity aims to recapture the magic, imagination,
depth, and nostalgia of classic RPGs that we enjoyed making - and
playing. At Obsidian, we have the people responsible for many of those
classic games and we want to bring those games back… and that’s why
we’re here - we need your help to make it a reality!

Planescape: Torment strikes back!

This has instantly jumped to my 'most anticipated' games, besides Cyberpunk and Witcher 3.

I just pledged and am really excited. I love the idea of Obsidian creating a new fantasy IP.

More info would have been nice since they're asking for money. As it is, seems like another standard fantasy game, and we have enough of those. I say that with only an hour of Alpha Protocol beneath my belt though, so I can't really comment on Obsidian's writing or game mechanics.

Great news, now I have some hope for the future of RPG genre.
I thought that Cryptic Message on Obsidian would be about South Park RPG!

Can't wait to see Avellone's spin on fantasy, I recall (but might be incorrect) he doesn't care for the average fantasy IP.

Why no "beta testing" tier reward? Beta testing tier reward would be great.

This is the game I've been waiting for since a LONG time.

They will get at least 35 $ from me.

Wow.

Not even a day and >200.000 $ already.

We are really starving for a BG-like RPG, aren't we.

The Kotaku article cleared up the one thing preventing me from shutting up and giving them all my money: Getting to create the main character.

Thats in, so I'm all in. It sounds like it has everything I want from pausable isometric combat ala Baldur's, to memorable companions you interact with. I'm sold.

Well once I decide how much money I want to throw at them.:o

Pledged. Despite the bugs in them I absolutely love Obsidian's games.
