I love how detailed Sawyer usually gets with the cultures and lore in his games. I love how they've mentioned that even though they plan on having dwarves and elves, they'll be distinct based on where they've lived geographically and how that's affected their cultural development. Something I wish Dragon Age had more of.

Good update, as for the event the PC witness I wonder if it was the destruction of Godhammer Citadel.
Probably. That is just a cool sounding place. GODHAMMMER CITADEL. Awesome.

Dwarven ranger women!
I like how she's in furs as befits her more polar origins. And they don't look too fantastical, either, which is another bonus.

The citadel wasn't destroyed. The "god" was. And the citadel was built as a monument.Xeyska wrote...

It's possible, but I would guess it's probably unlikely. There are very few Publishers that they could use to put it in stores without getting enourmous backlash. Activision would irritate alot of people, EA or Ubisoft would enrage alot of people.
Plus, I think the Kickstarter community as a whole isn't terribly fond of EA. The only Kickstarter I'm aware of that accepted EA's "Free for 90 days" offer is Wasteland 2.

Probably not. This will likely be an all digital release, with boxed copies available during the KickStarter campaign.

Single player like Baldur's Gate. Very, very similar to Baldur's Gate.

I don't think there would be any objection to Bethesda. I doubt Bethesda would be interested in distributing in something like this though(unless the KickStarter campaign really starts flying).

What's a digital copy? Something to do with that thing called Steam?

Not to mention needless draining away from the already tight budget. I doubt these third parties would ever just altruistically offer to mass distribute copies of the game. The bigger the publisher, the more they'll demand in return. I don't want to see that. After they give Kickstarter the obligatory 5% from the donation funds (or whatever that deal is), Obsidian deserves to keep all the rest.Gatt9 wrote...

PS: Pardon my french. But F*** EA and Activision. They wouldn't back a game like this in a billion years. They don't deserve to be associated with this gem in ANY way.
Nah, I'm fairly certain this is gonna be a download-only game for anyone who didn't donate at least 65 bucks to the KS campaign.

Only if you pledge on Kickstarter. It will likely be more expensive once the game is actually out.Phoenix_Fyre wrote...
I heard this is also going to be only 25 bucks? Wow.

If they smell money I bet they would. Not that they could actually pull something like this off though.

This game just seems to get better and better every time they release information. I can hardlly wait to see what they come up with next. Also a quick update, it's only about $68,000 until they hit the next stretch goal which is MAC support and more stuff including unique item histories.
