Pledged. The fact that they've raised over $300000 so quickly surprised me to say the least. Must be a huge demand for these types of games still.

No... there is huge demand for the old Black Isle/Obsidian brilliance

I put 25 bucks down for this.

Shame that I am a university student so I cant really spare that much.
I did send it to an old prof of mine though who likes this stuff,

Wow 2 people put down 10k for it already. I really hope they like it, or at the very least are parents of one of the developers.

I hope they'll add a toolset when the initial goal goes over.

Given that they're hand-crafting a setting that isn't particularly dangerous to the common RPGer and using their own engine and ruleset, it would be a good oppurtunity. I wonder how modder friendly the Onyx engine has been designed to be. Probably not very I imagine, but one can hope.

Hey Bioware, you should cut of the entrails of EA and do the same.

I suppose it'd be too much to ask for from a kickstarter to have any sort of info to base a pledge on aside from a concept and brand loyalty?

Check out the Kotaku and Gamebanshee interviews. There's a little more detail in them.

Despite the lack of any specifics, the donations are coming in like crazy. I won't donate untill I know more about it, I think they owe that much.

GameBanshee has a pretty lengthy interview with Feargus Urquhart where they cover alot about the game.

Kotaku has another interview with Avellone about the game.

I'm sure they have more stuff planned in the coming 32 days. They just don't want to show everything right away when they (rightfully) know people are going to be willing to fund it based on the quality of the designers involved, based on their past work. They're not some no name group thats never put out a game before that needs some gameplay demo to sell people on the concept.

Besides, you can always pledge something now and change it later if you want.

Don't have the money to give right now.

But for the people who are giving the money to what looks like it could be a great game.

It would be a sad day if this one were to slip through our fingers! I'm itching for my husband to get home from work so we can decide how much we want to pledge.

They appear to be making about $1000 per minute. Theres like 42k minutes in 32 days so $45 million if kept that rate up by the end. Reality is it will never get that much and the chance of them keeping this pace up for 32 days is almost impossible. But I would laugh my arse off if the rate kept up for the entire 32 days just because of how much would get invested in a single game. I think the more likely result will be between $2million and $6 million. I would be shocked if did not make at least $2million minimum.

Stupid question incoming...

Do you think this game will only be for PC?  I don't have one :(

If I had the money, I would give enough to have my picture in the game Lol. Even if I never played the game :P

Judging by what Avellone has said, I'd be surprised if they released it on consoles.

But they're looking to put it on OSX and Linux, depending on funding. Not that it helps console gamers much.

This hurts me!

But if they did make it for OSX I would probably get it eventhough I've never played a game on a computer.
