they've decided to use the Unity engine like inXile with Wasteland 2, and have removed Linux as a stretch goal and instead already promised to make a Linux version.

Imagine what could be done with a simpler game that has robust mod tools (Thinking NWN1 vs NWN2 & DA:O).

If I can buy Steam games with my bank card, then I can probably use it for Kickstarter aye?
As long as there's money in the bank/card and the card isn't expired at the end of the KickStarter campaign(when your and everyone's card is charged), Amazon/KickStarter should accept it.

I was initially hesitant to actually put money towards this before seeing the finished project (thank you DA2 and Civ5 for my cynicism), but I'm liking what I see so count me in.
Pfft, you're unworthy of titles such as Civilization V. I know you fanatic unit-spammers of Civilization IV well!

I have to keep away from "Manage Your Pledge" button, though. *fighting with my always leaking wallet furiously yet unsuccessfully*

Money trickle is really slowing down
It always happens. There's a big rush on the first day, the second day gets about half as many funds, and then it's a lot slower but steadier the rest of the way. Then at the end there's usually another smaller rush. PE appears to be no exception here. But there's almost 4 weeks to pledge left, so there's a lot more funding to come in yet.

My only issues with it were the occasional language ****up, some poor VO (Wu Zetian) and some balancing issues.

Just wanted to let you all know that over on the Obsidian Project Eternity site they're running a fundraiser. It's essentially up your pledge by $8.00 and you join the Obsidian Order of Eternity. Which pretty much means you just get to add a made up title under your avatar that confirms to the format
'your name' - 'pick title' of the Obsidian Order of Eternity.
Here's the link if your interested

It's fun and it's a good cause
Edit - sorry mucked up the link

Anyone else curious about how the armor system is going to work? I really want it to be a damage threshold system (with some modifications) like New Vegas had. I've never been a fan of % damage reductions.

I asked Obsidian’s Chris Avellone (Fallout 2, Planescape: Torment, Knights of the Old Republic II) how he felt about Project Eternity‘s Kickstarter returns so far, what he thinks of the industry these days and whether gamers should expect anything less (or more) from a Kickstarter-funded game. Here’s what he told me.
Interview with TIME Magazine.

Well, there goes my $65.So here’s my view – I don’t feel Baldur’s Gate 2, Planescape: Torment, or Icewind Dale are lesser games. At all. I feel they allow for more differences than modern blockbusters, and I’d argue they’re more RPGs than a number of triple-A titles on the market, mostly because they allow more freedom for the player to bring their own creativity and voice to the experience.

There's supposed to be some big announcement on Monday, so we'll have to stay tuned.
I'm thinking they're bringing someone else on board(probably George Ziets), that or they're announcing modding tools. Can't think of anything else that would be big news at this point. Maybe they're getting a professional composer? Although Justin Bell wants to that job eagerly.

Why is the dev posting in this thread getting worked up when they're calling him out?
Are you referring to me? And specifically the post where I state to keep some perspective with regards to the total number of backers for the project and whether or not that constitutes "proof" that something is or is not a vocal minority? Or the post where someone else did what you did and assumed I was "lashing out" at people and "called me out" for apparently being defensive and have a bad attitude?
Because I'd strongly encourage no poster to go down that road in this thread again. If you absolutely MUST follow this up, do it with me in PM.
