^ Having to eat. Harsher frendly fire, Gold having weight (although they kinda ruled this one out), having to carry around camping supplies for your nightly resting, and for that matter, having more limited resting areas,  Not being able to hover your curser over an enemy to see how much health they have left.... stuff like that, I'd guess.

Which personally, I prefer over the standard "You're playing on expert mode? Alright, your enemies will have more health and you'll do less damage. have fun!"

Update released,

The new 2.2 stretch goal is translations, but more importantly, Avelon will release a novella with to the some of the lower tiers.

The most exciting thing about this pic for me is that because of the whip, then just maybe this game will include more of the 'exotic' weapons. Not just a whip, but like scythe, throwing knives,  falchion, spear, or even something like a sword-breaker .

Whips, I never noticed the whip! I hope this is representative of in-game weaponry and not just pretty picture-ness.

Now that we've eclypsed the $2 million stretch goal, it's not!

Those 56,999 gold pieces weighing you down?   No problem, go home and dump them in the  chest!

47,350 backers and counting. Looks like their next goal is well within reach.

Some time today, we got another $10,000 donation.

An interesting little tid-bit I noticed: Wasteland 2 managed to attract 8 such doners. But having not watched its progress, I have no idea if those came early, or whether they were part of the final day push, or if they just came randomly. What's interesting is that PE so far only has 3.

As this'll be a 2-D isometric game, I think this sort of thing might just be possible.  The animations won't be all that hard as compared to a "cinematic" game, so disarming and (maybe) sundering the weapon of an opponent might be in the cards.  Spetums and ranseurs come to mind for this sort of thing, too.  Cross your fingers and hope.  Image IPB

All the IE games had throwing knives and spears. TOEE had Ranseurs and spiked chains. Planescape had fist irons

Weapon breakage and disarming skills with these weapons is totally possible.

A bit at the start, middle and in the end. You can see a daily chart of the Wasteland 2 pledges here (scroll at the bottom). Every day that have a spike over 10k probably was a 10k pledges + a few more smaller pledges. Except for the final spikes those is just a lot of last minute pledges although there might be a 10k hidden in there too.

Project Eternity have a similar graph here.

I want some details on why the house is a stretch goal. Hoping for stronghold like quests like in BG2.

Expert Mode will disable all of the common ease-of-use / in-case-you-missed it gameplay elements like the display of skill thresholds, influence/reputation modifiers, and similar "helper" information. In a fashion similar to Fallout: New Vegas' Hardcore Mode, Expert Mode will also enable more punitive and demanding gameplay elements, in and out of combat. We're not saying we're going to have weighty gold (for real, we're not saying that), but if we did, you can bet that would be automatically turned on by Expert Mode.

Hm.. I'm on the fence regarding this one. While I like elements that add to a game's complexity and realism (I do play FNV on Hardcore mode), I am also a stat and optimising freak. Witholding stat/reputation/skill information sounds bad to me. But having more options never hurts, I guess.

Don't care much about the Ironman mode - never play anything like that, in any game. Probably won't play the Path of the Damned either... although.. who knows.. if the game's really good...

The Expert Mode sounds exactly like what I want. I don't like all those meta-game information notifications that come up in modern games, like +5 approval, [75/60]skill for dialog, you failed this quest, etc.

Something in the vain of hardcore mode from Fallout sounds great, while not affecting the overall difficulty as a choice.

She also uses a hammer in combat as well, but the artist didn't include her hammer in this piece.
