Well isn't infinite missile glitching technically the MOST clever use of game mechanics?

Bioware has made a line and it's obviously zig-zagged.

Actually the sprinting with the pizza is a "clever use of game mechanics" because you're supposed to drop it as you sprint and you do drop it but you can then pick it up real fast before you break the sprint animation wherein if you're still sprinting you drop it again and so on. Game doing what its supposed to do, drop the pizza if your running and allow you to pick it up regardless of if your running or not. And you're never really running with the pizza your just droping and picking up at a different location repeatedly. If you're were able to glitch the game so you can pick up the pizza and not drop it while running and have normal speed walking then you may have a case.

Infinite missile glitching is obviously has nothing to do with game mechanics because you're never supposed to fire missiles out of anything but the cobra.

There's a difference.

No they both are clever use of game mechanics the difference is missile glitching may affect micro transactions and thus EA's pocket book so its banned.  It also affects others enjoyment of the game as its no fun to watch everything get blown up.

The way I see it, if flag juggling isn't bannable in Halo, this shouldn't be bannable here, as this is the same concept.

The problem with running with the pizza is that the extra airflow cools it faster, and Hackett doesn't like to eat cold pizza.

It should be cheating, negates the entire purpose of the activity.

Not to mention the sound is annoying as all get out.

But the purpose is to deliver the pizza in 30 minutes or less, not as slow as possible.

Well, running with the pizza gets into EA's pocketbook too, they lose like 300 credits!

Simple solution is for you to always carry it yourself.

Eh, so does missiling the Banshee, Praetorian and Prime on wave 3 to force a target switch to a lousy mook who dies from 3 grenades. Is that considered cheating now?

Hey folks,

I got your PM.

It's true that, unless we decide to change how certain mechanics work, sprinting with the delivery objective will not get you banned.  We have used the phrase "clever use of game mechanics" and will stand by that.

Thanks for the info, I'm looking forward for a fix to be patched in, which I'm all for.

But you aren't supposed to have infinite cobra missiles so I dont think it quite qualifies as a clever use of game mechanics because the game specifies you have a maximum of 8?9? cobra missiles even with a maxed Armored Compartments Gear.

But you are correct in that it not only deprives other people of their ability to enjoy the game, but also the ability to regulate the microtransactions regarding the store.

Running with the pizza doesn't really do any of these things, at most it gets you maybe 10,000 extra credits because you completed the objective faster. It is not ruining anyone's experience or unfairly getting you ridiculous amounts of credits you should not have received. That being said, I am glad that BW approves, it seems everyone likes freshly baked, hot pizza.

There's another way to move faster with the package. You have to be Asari; basically you use the backwards dodge when you have the package, and keep spamming the A button. (Xbox). Your Asari will dodge backwards and drop the package, but by the time you dodge again, the constant spamming of A would have picked it up again,

;)

If BW wants to 'approve' of this to compensate for hiccups in the controls and lag, and because frankly there's more important things out there to address, that's their prerogative. But I must say seeing it in action its not 'clever', but more 'silly'. We'll add it to the pile of inane things like dodge break-dancing on revive to avoid a grab, or standing on an incline to avoid SKs, or getting a banshee stuck on a rafter. or causing enemies to get themselves stuck and immobile in a narrow hall, or unbalancing guns because they can be used for a caustic 'clever use of game mechanics' like missile glitching.

How can this be done on console? I'd imagine you'd need a different run key.
