Identify your 2-3 favourite/preferrable classes, which you are most comfortable doing on Insanity, and what set up you would use for each.

I've had a roller coaster ride in terms of my favourite class. However I've narrowed it down to 2 classes (With a third being one I just started to enjoy on another Insanity playthrough). For me they are Vanguard and Infiltrator.

For my Vanguard, Standard NovaGuard with Reave as the Bonus Power to curb the long range weakness that Vanguards have.

- By no means is it creative but it gets the job done and my second Insanity playthrough was also on a NovaGuard. I feel the most comfortable with the class as a whole.

- I tend to just go AR+Shotgun, because everything is covered across the combat spectrum
                   - AR = Vindicator/Mattock/Saber/Particle Rifle (Mostly the first two since they are easily acquirable and the Particle Rifle is kind of Heavy)
                  - Shotgun = Claymore/Geth Plasma/Reegar Carbine (In my opinion, the best in the game ATM, don't like the Wraith too much, and the Reegar is so useful on Insanity for Atlases/Banshees)

Nothing too particular about the Variations of the Powers, Minus Reave which is evolved for Area Reave to setup and Detonate BE.

Armor is usually just a bunch of Rosenkov and Serrice Council pieces, but from time to time I will use Inferno Armor.

For my Infiltrator I try to resemble the name as much as possible. TC, Energy Drain and Incinerate being my most used Powers. Energy Drain helps get rid of the Shields that plague Snipers, and Incinerate sets up Tech bursts when I'm running with a certain squad.

Weapons (I know, Different formatting :P)

- Vindicator
- Black Widow/Krysae/Viper/Javelin (Depends on what I am feeling, but most of the time its the Widow)
- Carnifex

Powers are straightforward for the Evolutions. The 130% boost to Snipers as a whole during TC greatly benefits my killing potential even on Insanity. Not to mention cloak has saved my life more times than I can count. Armor varies since the class doesn't entail much thought as opposed to specifying an adept towards CD rate.

Besides these two, I just started an Adept playthrough, and by God it is by far the easiest to beat Insanity on. I don't even need to describe my class as a whole. Everything just goes BOOM!

I would like to hear some opinions from everyone else :innocent:

If it isn't any trouble, try to go in depth about it, you may get other people to try your class ideas (I probably will try some anyways:D)

What capn said, Insanity difficulty has never really been that hard across any of the games, and thanks to the new combo mechanic and weight system, every class can just steamroll it.

Really, the question should be which one you enjoy the most.

Well just to bump I guess if I answer the favorite part, instead of the comfortable part it would be Soldier in general.

Most fun... I dunno, but I am leaning towards my no-charge Novaguard.

Any class that can kill Banshees quickly works for me, except for the NovaGuard.

Sentinel. I tend to spec into my biotic powers (and +power damage from tech armor). +explosion damage for Warp, and + damage and capacity for Lift Grenade.

As for squadmates, I typically use Liara and Javik almost exclusively.

Sentinel or Vanguard + Liara and Javik is gg no re for Reapers/Cerberus.

The infiltrator paired up with EDI and Liara is my favourite combo.
I made up a class combo with EDI and Liara to just wreck most enemies even the banshees, harvesters may take a bit longer but still go down really fast.

Warp debuff from liara - damage taken debuff from proxy mine, tech vulnerability from sabotage, then use EDI for incinerate while having the power synergy bonus from EDI's defence matrix and the squad bonus from operational mastery to increase power damage bonus by 15% more makes EDI's incinerate a lot more powerful. I did all this by taking advantage of tactical cloaks short cooldown so I can get sabotage and proxy mine set up faster.

My adept insanity play through worked out fine. I can't remember what weapons I was using though.

Soldier.
Ready to unleash eleven barrels of hell!
P.S. I know, not eleven. 12, 9, 9+1.

They're all pretty easy.

But the ones I found most fun were the adepts and engineers.
They were both tool boxes of awesome powers, neatly packaged into a class.
Infiltrators and vanugards had pretty spectular fighting styles, combining the strengths of casters with more combat heavy troopers.

In the end of the day. In a video game where different playthroughs have subtle differences, rather than huge ones, the main motivation for me, was just to playthrough the campaign with a new class.
I've beaten the game four times on insanity, and I have enjoyed every minute of it (except for the fetch quests and the endings).

I had started a sentinel playthrough. But I had to return the game to my brother.

But don't take my word for it. Try the classes for yourself and come to your own conclusions.
