Galactic point scores are tied to your Galactic rediness rating. To get the most points and have the most choices at the end of of game, right before your final assult on Earth play multiplayer matches so that your your reading  reads 100%.. My 7719 drops to around 6400 after the Earth mission, but the game is over then anyway.
Remember the lower your rediness rating the lower your points
The most points you could get for each race is, not counting Leviathan points
        Alien Forces ------ 1000 points
        Alliance Forces--- 1796 points
        Asari Forces---------668 points
        Turian Forces-------633 points
        Salarnan Forces---343 points
        Ex-Cerberus --------260 points
        Crucible---------------850  points
        Krogan-----------------895 points
        Quarian Forces------825 points
                Total possible points = 7270

Your Galactic Readiness and War Assets are locked when you assault Cronos Station. Everything afterwards does not matter (change in Readiness, or War Assets from Cronos).

And this is hardly new, or informative.

Really? I have a savegame after Cronos with 50% readiness cause I didn´t play MP for a while. And you say playing MP now does do nothing to raise it again to 100%?

That seems to be exactly what he's saying, although it wouldn't hurt to test it.

Rsnider, I don't mean any offence by this, but what you've posted above blatantly obvious. Its like putting up a post explaing that you can save your game by selecting the Save Game option in the menu.

Not that there's anything wrong with that per se, its just making a thread offering a way to boost your Effective Military Strength and then just stating something that anyone who read the game manual would know isn't really good forum ettiquette.

IIRC it was tested a while back and its correct. The Cerberus station is the start of the end game and the asset score is taken at the point you start it.

This just in!

If you pull the trigger while aiming a gun at enemies they die! I was like OMGWTFBBQ when I killed something for the first time on Sanctuary. Before I was letting my squadmates kill everything, I guess that's how my playthough got to 200 hours before finishing Rannoch.

Anyway, I just thought I'd let everyone know.

That's wrong! Try it yourself..Everyday I don't play multiplayer my Galactic Readines goes down 4 points, and thus my war assets go down.

I'm not sure if that's right, cause I don't have a save to go from at that point, but lets say its right, If your Readiness is 100% at the start of this mission your points will be higher.

One final comment! A few people wrote, Nothing new, oblivious, in the manual
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
First not every reads the manual, I read my Prima Offficial Guide cheat book. This little tip may have been given 100's of times B4, I didn't check thru the 41,000+ responses. My goal was to help people get better more or better ending.

I realize that it will appear better in the War Room, but supposedly it doesn't use those numbers anymore after you start the Cronos Mission.  I did not test it personally, but supposedly it was indeed tested and show that changes to Assets or Galactic Readiness after the Cronos Station mission do not alter the outcomes.

That's not going to affect the end anyway. Also, with the Extended Cut you only need 3100 EMS (so that's 6200 war assets at 50% readyness) to get the "best" ending.

It was before EC. Now it's only 3100.

And title made me think this thread would be about something new. Not just stating the obvious.

Here is what I did - used my 48 hour Gold Trial in March, played MP for one night till I got 100% EMS. From that day I always unpluged my Ethernet Cable when I was going to play ME3 - it only checks for Internet connections when loading the main menu. Since it can not load stats - Ethernet cable out - I keep my 100% all the time.

Doesn't work on wireless connection, game/console KNOWS you have Internet access and won't let you play the game unless you get online. This trick with Ethernet cable I thought of helped a guy who had some glitch in main menu and even tech support had no clue ;) Good times.
