So, one day I sat on my computer and said: "You know what? I'll just go onto Origin and purchase all the Mass Effect games". I bought them with all the dlc I could find. I just finished playing Mass Effect 1 and when I started Mass Effect 2 I got a message saying I have to redeem Cerberus code to access bonus content. As stated in the title it is the Digital Deluxe Edition, so it has a bunch of dlc-stuff on it. I didn't get any codes or anything. I'm wondering if the Cerberus network is just some stuff I have to buy on the side or if I need to enter a code (which I don't think I have) to get access to my DLC's.

Please help me!Posted Image

Have the exact same problem, even more so, after cloud syncing the game doesn't start and I have to re-download it. Anyway, cannot find the Cerberus Network code, although it is supposed to come free with the DD Edition.

Seriously, frankly speaking, I am disappointed to say the least. This paranoia with game protection against pirating makes officially bought games less easy to use, than pirated ones, at the same time does not stop pirating at all.

Yep, actually, partly to blame is the fact that Origin is in no way a finished product, although it has been on the market for over a year. It's worse than Steam, although, granted, Steam has it's own problems, but way less major than the ones on Origin.

But, for Origin bugs EA is to blame, although, only partially. If you agree to work with a particular system, make sure, Bioware, that your products work with it.

Goddamit. Actually went and searched for a fix for another issue that I have, similar to these:

http://social.biowar.../index/13510296

and

http://social.biowar.../index/13080685

That have had exactly no support from the Mods or a response from Bioware. Very saddening.

You could have tried reading the stickies and the forum description.

Thanks, already did, they do not address the issue, unfortunately. As they do not address those mentioned issues either.

It's the off-season for forums, so there is almost no one visiting.  Did you check Kloreep's FAQ collection?

I never get downloaded digital software.  It has to be on a disk, or I don't buy it.  Thus, I have no answer.  If Kloreep overlooked this, try the official support, linked under the Help Column at the bottom of the page.

Hm, then what's the season?) Thanks for the tip!

Well, that's the biggie, previously residing in Russia and living in a uni dorm = you can't order anything, that would get to you with guarantee, buying boxes in shops = russian lang only + overpaying, and after what happened with my Empire: Total War, I never buy disks because of regional settings. I cannot play it in Germany, because it is regionally specific. And don't get me started on proxies, that's unfortunately too late:/

Anyway, as for buying stuff in Germany, well...christ, it's in german;) Would have only a very-very vague idea at what the hell they are saying)

When the weather outdoors turns poor in the northern hemisphere, game playing and message forum visiting become more popular. In good weather here in the states, there are just too many outdoor activities competing, that only a few moles living in basements keep gaming in spite of girls, sports, beaches, rivers, stadiums, etc

We had some welcome rain yesterday. The past two years, we've been getting extremes. Months of drought, then torrential rains and flooding. Very inconvenient locally, puts any kind of farming / ranching activity in massive debt, but today it was about 75 Fahrenheit, yesterday it was about the same (warm rain). I suppose that your 15 is Celcius. School was out for the summer, but everyone that age has been back in classes for about two-three weeks, so some younger game players will begin weaning themselves from the outdoors activities fairly soon.

Forums start picking up when gossip about new releases gets rolling (a majority of big ticket games are scheduled for fall release, to build up sales going into the Christmas Holiday season).

heh, beginning of school should also account for the lesser forum use too, heh, true. I see, oh well, still, don't judge me, I'll see what you'll be up to after a year without vacation (institutional pr agencies, if you don't get a vacation on august, you're doomed until winter at least);)

hkf999 and feaband, can only describe the process on the Steam version I bought but I'll do so anyway in the hope that there's something kind of similar on Origin. When I open the Steam application I go to my games library, find the game I want on the list (there's about 6 games there - it doesn't take me long :-) ) and right click on it to get a context menu. On that menu some of the games have an option "View CD Key", even though there's obviously never been a CD in my hands. Clicking that on ME2 brings up both the codes, game and Cerberus network.

Like I said, this is Steam and I don't know about Origin. But there must be a way of getting the code out of Origin and I'd hope that if it's not more or less the same as Steam that might at least give you ideas to try. Otherwise all I can suggest is contacting EA Support and asking how the %^&* you get the %^&*ing code out of it.

Thanks PsiFive, unfortunately, Steam rocks, origin sucks balls;)

Anyway, found it!

The thing is, that I do not why, the Cerberus code is not in the email. Or, maybe, is not shown in the email. I have no idea why, and I use Gmail, so everything should be tip-top. Anyway, I found a weird code, called Seriennummer, which was shown in the LIST of messages view in Gmail on the email from origin. Typed it in, redeemed Cerberus. Everything seems to work...But I am not sure about Lair of the Shadow Broker or Arrival.

Yes, if Steam is like a digital version of a regular shop Origin is like a shop where the front door is shut and customers have to climb up drainpipes and enter through an upstairs window.... with a torch because half the lights are out. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Steam is so much better I'm happy to pay extra to use that rather than Origin. As for Shadow Broker and Arrival, are they in the DDE then? I thought they were premium DLC you had to pay for. In case you do as well I'd just add my 2 cents, which is that Shadow Broker is excellent but Arrival is the weakest of the ME2 mission DLCs, paid or free.

Hi, bought both of them, thankfully, they work. I am re-playing the whole ME series right now, Great stuff about Origin, totally agree;)

LotSB is great, albeit was glitchy, game crashed twice, as for Arrival, the only reason I bought it is because it effects content in ME3. But the worst, IMO is the Firewalker Pack (or whatever it's called, it's the one with the stupid hovertank), I just hate vehicles in ME, I mean, really, the Mako has the physics of a rubber ball, the Hovertank missions are just pointless.

But wait, most EA games are currently unavailable on Steam, aren't they? Just checked, OK, only ME3 is unavailable, but oh well.

****! I only have Mass Effect 3 and Dragon Age: Origins in registered games, although I have ME 1, 2 and 3, and I also have DA 1 and 2. I don't ****ing get it. So freaking annoying. Do you remember when you could buy a game, install it and press play? I hate this 3rd party bull**** we have to go though now. I can't think of any positive sides, acctually. Time to go rage at EA

Yes, indeed, it was so simple, if you had an official CD, then you install the game, during installation, type in the dratted CD-key and that was it. Back in the floppy days...well...you didn't even have to do that) Now, there are online-pass things and **** like that. Really, who the hell came up with such an idea?? What if I don't have an internet connection right now?? Does that mean that I cannot play my game, which I bought on my money? And no, pirates did not cause this, rather, I would say, this made piracy more legitimate.

One would think that online shops would make things easier and cheaper...yeah right)

I've been fairly lucky with LotSB and had very few glitches. The only noticeable one was when Samara just vanished from outside SB's ship. HUD said she was dead/unconcious but wouldn't let me medigel her back again and I couldn't find her body. Glitch or she fell off the side, I just don't know.

Arrival sorta kinda effects content in ME3 but as it's basically just dialogue and the beginning of ME3 is basically the same whether you play Arrival or not it's as important as.... well, actually a lot of ME1 and 2 decisions that felt hugely important at the time but don't out to have little practical effect. What annoys me about it is how stupid Kenson and her entire team is - two days and nobody thinks to tie Shepard up or lock him/her up in a room handcuffed to a radiator or something? That's two days of steadily increasing the sedative dosage because it keeps wearing off, and not only do they not think to properly secure their prisoner but they don't even think to move the prisoner's equipment, armour and weapons from the unsecured locker in the room right next door to maybe a locked room on the other side of the base. When baddies do things this dumb it feels like the game is screaming "YOOHOO, YOU'RE JUST PLAYING A GAME" right in my face. Eh, who wants immersion anyway?

Firewalker, agreed. Silly ME3 based 3D platformer. I only play it for the Prothean sphere relic thingy to go on Shepard's coffee table. Hate the tank with it's papier mache armour and free will equipped rockets that sometimes decide to shoot something other than what I aimed them at. The Mako was heaps better, and most of the annoying physics were a result of insane terrain rather than the vehicle design itself. If you really want to see the Mako crazy then use the console cheat to triple the power of the thruster jets. Mental.

I got the code from Ea suprisingly easy, but it turns out Digital Deluxe Edition doesn't contain any of the cool DLC's like Lair of the Shadow Broker... now I have to buy those as well. Damn me for being a completionist!
