Well, that'll teach me. What a heartbreaker. Zevran was also pretty gaga over me - gave me the earring and everything - but still. Wow, totally dumped. Heh, my Warden was so heartbroken, she just gave her life to slay the archdemon.

Oh she also told Alistair he was an ass.

(He was kind of being an ass...)

He does act like an ass when he dumps your Warden after being made King and being unhardened.
But when he's hardened and made King, he calls himself an idiot for even bringing it up.
It's Ok, Alistair. Your idiocy is endearing.

Okay my nasty side is coming about, but instead of doing the US, you should have used your persuasion to make him get jiggy with witchy-poo, considering how much he hates her. Then after Archy is dead, go adventuring with Zevran. And of course, go back to camp and shag him first.

I'm such a bad person.....I never would really do those things...I swear. *evil/smirk*

Lol. I actually had a two-timing thing going on with Alistair and Zevran. It wasn't planned, but rather just happened because I had never tried it before. I was really confused as to why Alistair wasn't upset that I slept with Zevran over and over again. Zevran even gave me the earring and confessed his feelings etc. Alistair and I were still technically together, though. :::shrug:::

But anyway, I have yet to beat the final battle. I just started it but I was too tired so I saved and plan to go back either tomorrow or the next day. After the final battle, and after I sacrifice myself (which I've never done before), do the companions say anything about my Warden? Does anyone profess their love? Lol. I WANT A FUNERAL WITH TEARS AND REGRETS (that's you Alistair). jk. hahah or maybe not...

I play on Xbox and I'm kind of anti-mod. (Don't hate me.) heh.

Truly Zevran is the only good romance choice, I suppose. (He's at least more committed.)

Alistair is made king, dumps warden,  Alistair accepts ritual, warden kills AD, both live.  then Warden romances/marries Bann Teagan :P

Man can you even romance him? I flirted with him a little. Boo. He was hot, too.

My first play through Alistair dumped me, but after that he always keeps us together and apologizes for being an idiot. On the one, I married him to Anora (I was a Elf) and kept the romance going too :P I really really just do not like Anora at all, so I thought it would be a bump up her butt to know her knew hubby was loving and snagging a City Elf :P thats my total evil moment in romance.

On the play through when I find out I could become Queen, I had originally was with Zevran, got the earring and all and then started romancing Alistair. I felt bad and never spoke to Zev in camp again and realized if you don't talk to them, the whole choose one convo never happens and she became Queen and then Zev stayed with me too. I didn't realize it really until playing DA:2 import and meeting up with Zev and he doesn't hit on Hawke or sleep with Isabella because he is in love with my warden...wow, talking about a Jerry Springer moment....Which leads to my last game as a male noble warden. (I know, we are talking Alistair, but its just to funny to me not to share :D) He romanced Morrigan first and then Zev, married Anora, kept Zev as his lover and asked him to stay at court with him, he had a demon baby with Morrigan and then went through the mirror with her in Witch Hunt to protect her and his son....its stuff like this that makes DA:O's one of my all time favorite games!

Dear lord that is incredible. Can you marry Anora if you're a male elf?

Nah, you have to be a human Noble and you have to make Loghain a warden too, which sucks, although seeing Alistair drunk in the hangman in DA:2 was so worth it,lol. I tried it with killing Loghain and keeping Alistair as a Warden, but it never said they married at the end and in Awakening it was Alistair as King who came to him. So as far as I know it only works one way. Anora is a royal wench, in my opinion, and she would never lower herself to a Elf or Dwarf. She even mentions to you that the Cousland line is about as royal as Calin's too, which is why she agrees to marrying him. If you ever play a noble, talk to Darrien (however his name is spelled, lol) in the study before talking to Fergus and ask him what he has heard about you, he will go on and eventually say that many thought your Father should of been King instead of Maric, whom your Father fought beside him. So the Couslands are the second ranking family behind Maric's line. If it wasn't for all that, she would of never said yes to marrying you. IF you do decide to go that route, its kind of funny when you import into Awakening and Loghain stops to check in on his way through. He brings up how Anora is not happy to talk about having a child. His comments made me laugh.

God. You're so right about Anora. I couldn't stand her. She sold me out twice, from what I recall. Sold me out to the soldiers at Howe's estate, and later sold me out at the Landsmeet when I said I'd support her. She's all, "THIS WARDEN SLANDERED MY FATHER!" in front of everyone. I just want to punch her in her pretty little mouth, repeatedly, until her teeth shoot out her nose. Can there be DLC with that?

If there was I would buy it....but seriously, I never liked her, but the one time I gave her the throne and didn't know about needing to "harden Alistair", I about freaked when she demanded him to be executed. Thankfully, you can tell her to knock it off and allow him to live, but good friggin grief, really? Alistair on the other hand is the good guy even to her, which irked me as I was really hoping he would execute her too, but we can only ask so much of him I guess...

Alistair is my main romance whenever I play a female now. He is way to geeky and dorky for me not to just adore him. Being a dire hard computer geek most of my life I am just a sucker for the cutesy geeky guy. Plus I dig his voice big time. But, I will admit that Zev's voice is pretty hot too, but still, I just can't not romance Alistair.

On another note, one game I romanced him, kept him as a warden and then killed myself fighting the Archdemon. When Hawke finds him DA:2 during the Qunari raid and he gives her the necklace and tells Hawke it once belonged to someone he loved and he thought she would of liked to see Hawke have it, I about died. I felt like I was a butt for killing her off. Needless to say, thats was a game that will never be imported into DA:3 if they make one.

While the easiest solution to get the King Cousland ending is to leave Loghain alive, to marry Anora, you don't have to leave Loghain alive, but the Cousland can't be the one killing him. Alistair must do it (and he must be unhardened or he will take the throne immediately after lopping off Loghain's head).  This is what I did on my King Cousland run, Gawain ended up ruling Ferelden and Alistair got to stay a warden (which makes him happier I think, hardened or not).

Though I have heard Loghain's cameo in Awakenings is 'cool' by most people I can't stand the bastard. Except for one game (in which my Cousland didn't marry Anora--family was everything to him, and he was in love with Leliana) Loghain dies in the Landsmeet. Even then, I ended up feeding him to the Archdemon.  And drunken Ali's cameo in DA2 was awesome in that I got to see Teagan being...*sigh* well...Teagan!Posted Image

And its cool what Emeraldtrader said.  My fanfic Warden is an elf mage who was dumped by Alistair, though I wrote it as a mutually agreed upong thing.  She talked him into the ritual, Ali became king and she ended up with Bann Teagan.  Only in fanfic...but man, I wish the BannHammer had been romanceable!Posted Image
