 Hey, having some trouble.

Recently bought DA: O Ultimate on Steam. I've installed a number of mods but nothing that altered the files of the game directly, just the dazips and Overrides. After starting up a game with a Human Noble Male, I saw everyone refering to my character as female. This is true for all Origins I pick, no matter what gender I choose, I'm always predominitely referred to as female (with a few people calling me ser and lord). I guess this isn't a problem for some but for me personally, I only prefer playing as male characters for role playing reasons. Its very frustrating.

I've tried reinstalling multiple times but it doesn't matter, the game always refers to me no matter what. I unselected all the mods I had and even DLC, but nothing is changing this. I don't believe mods had anything to do with this problem because of this. If anyone knows how I can fix this, maybe a command that forces the game to recognize me as male, or if this is a problem that someone else has had, I would really appreciate some help. It's preventing me from getting into this otherwise great game (I've bought and played Dragon Age for the 360, I bought this version specifically for the mods). Thanks for reading.

What mods are you running?

When two files affect the same game elements, DAO uses what's found in mods OVER what's in the vanilla code.   (That's why they named the folder... "\\overrides".)

That said, I am aware of the occasional hiccough with the personal pronouns, but if the error is consistent across all NPCs and convos, then the gender flag is probably being forced to "Fem!Warden" during Character Creation. Since the glitch occurs across all origins, I'm thinking either a mod, or a need to Repair/Re-Install. Image IPB

Reinstalling unfortunately has no effect. The difference remains consistant beyond just pronouns. For instance in the Noble Origin the mother's friend asks if I remember her hitting on someone, where as a male would be told she was hitting on me.

Override folder has been emptied but there still isn't any changes. Here's all the mods I'm using:

Lockbash
Temple of Vulak
Tombs of the Undead
The Bloodworks
Shadows of Telia
Ser Gilmore NPC
Respecification
Auto Loot
Improved Atmosphere
Infested Grounds
Extra Dog Slot
Awakening in the OC
Armor of Sentinel
Alley of Murders
Karma Companions
Fenod Weapons Pack V3
Storage Chest
The Winter Forge

I've been double checking for a conflict though I've yet to find it. But I did find a mod named Meta Items that has an item that can change your gender. It will turn my character into a zombie, but if I read right, there is another item that can change me back without altering the gender. If that doesn't work I might try opening the toolset and using it to change the PC's gender to male directly.
