Magnetic hands and other issues have been a problem since day one, but lately it feels like more BS than usual has been happening with them (at least to me). It's idiotic that banshees/phantoms stand over your downed body and kill you the second you stand up before you can even move if you revive yourself. There's also the times when a banshee teleports towards you, it's 20 feet away, you can't move, and then the next thing you know you're on the ground dead as it stands above you.

Of course, there's magnetic hands where they somehow develop telekensis and make you fly towards them. Instant kills should stay in singleplayer, but there's too much going on for their system to properly calculate when it should and shouldn't happen online. I'd say at least 70% of the time I've died that way it should not have happened. Banshees and phantoms would still be good bosses if they lost the ability. I know an atlas can do it too, but I've never had or seen a problem with them doing it.

My Turitank's tankiness was negated by an obtuse sync kill.

Yes.

Either ditch the magnet hands/bad-programming related insta-kills, or just eliminate them. If it makes sense that they're present, then it's fine.

Every time control is removed from the player it harms their gaming experience.

My answer is a resounding yes.

At the very least, remove it from Banshees. They're annoying enough as it is.

No, Instakill is one of the things that make this game funny.

For example, I always laugh when I see one of my friends being sync-killed by a banshee or when I use a misile to save my teammate, for those things that increment our diversion, sync kill can't disspear.

If they fix them to be not so magnetic - fine, they can stay.

Or they can make instakills just incapacitate you on bronze and silver so you can be rezzed.

Banshees would be a joke without an instakill attack. What would you buff or add to remedy that?

Also stops Vanguards from doing... well, anything.

Seriously, how's a Vanguard supposed to tank for his team (aka his class DESCRIPTION) if he runs the risk of getting sync-killed the moment he makes impact with the enemy?

Don't Biotic Charge, one might ask? Then why even play a Vanguard?

Yes. They take control from the players hands, can lead to cheap and unavoidable deaths, and eliminate the hallmark of the vanguard class.

No. Cerberus is already a joke as it is, without Phantoms all the challenge is gone.

Same for Banshees. They are not a joke, at least not for all classes/weapons, but they can be easily kited and be taken down just as easily by a full team. The only thing that makes them scary is their magnet instakill, which can't be really fixed if it's caused by lag.

And their screams. Oooh, their screams! /shivers

4m annihilation field.  If you get hit by a banshee warp or nova while inside the radius, biotic explosion.  :bandit:

Yes, lets remove all instant kills, give back the infils their billion % damage bonus and extend the tc by another minute, lets also make ravagers shoot butterflies. Don't like the insta killers? Stay the hell away from them or kill them before they get close.

I love watching a teammate with bad battlefield awareness get insta killed. leave them in the game.
I have not been personally insta killed in about 5 months so umm yeah they do not bother me in the least.

Sync-kills are not so bad when you host and there are tell tell signs to most enemies on when the sync-kill may happen. Off-host however the magnetic kill problem can be moderate to severe.

Either remove them, or make level 6 fitness disable them.

You obviously haven't been killed cross-map by the banshee's biotic magnets.
