 So I was roaming the dark depths of BSN (also known as the Story and Campaign Discussion Section) and i found something very interesting there.  Fellow BSN member JamieHayami was at the event today, and said that Bioware posted this picture at the end of the panel:social.bioware.com//uploads_user/296000/295947/227390.jpg


He believes this to be new SP DLC because Bioware did a similar tease for Leviathan at the San Diego Comic Con and also Shepard doesn't appear in MP.....but he has.  If you guys remember, Shep did make a cameo in the MP trailer before ME3 lauched.  Could it be that he's making another cameo to introduce Collectors?  That ship does kinda resemble a Collector ship.  Some other BSN members are speculating that this could have something to do with Omega, or something with Quarians because the OP said that there was a Quarian behind Shep in the picture.  Thought I would share this with you guys.  And like Jamie said, speculate away!

Update:  Chris has confirmed through his twitter that it is indeed from a new/unannounced DLC.  And knowing Chris, it was on purpose. Everyone go check it out!

There was a party at Bioware to celebrate something and judging by twitter some of the devs could be/are drunk. So there's that.  Also Lets not forget to give credit to JamieHayami, who actually attended the event and got us the image!

I don't know why but when I get up real close, that red hologram looks like an Ancient Aurora-class Warship. Or maybe it is a geth ship.

Well, not that I can complain but I cannot see anything on that photo. That thing there can be Shepard, or can be the Master Chief for all I see... (bottom line, can it be a photo from ME2/3? I really cannot see anything to say if it's a new shot).

I was looking at it from my Iphone at it really does look like a Collector Ship.  Why not use Shep to introduce us to new enemies?  He could be briefing N7 troops or something.

Yes....I did know that.  Your first point proves that SP characters make cameos in MP trailers.  And why is it that everytime I post some solid proof of maybe some kind of DLC for MP, nobody gives a rats a**?  Same thing happened with Earth and Rebellion and those turned out to be true.

Too bad for them. I guess if no one wants to listen to you, it's their loss. Shame really. Oh well, if you find it compelling enough, and it is pretty good (at the very least), At least you will know where the new DLC is headed, even if other forumites are busy learning the finer points of FBWGG.

I don't get how BSN works.  Before Earth released, i posted a link for a convo the Devs were having about some stuff they were working on that looked exciting and what not and i said it sounded like a DLC was close and even predicted that there would be an announcement at San Diego Con.  People were talking about how they were probably talking about SP or it could be for another game.  About a week later, boom DLC is announced.

its a bit fuzzy but yeah, it does have the sort of.. shapr of a collecter ship (to be frank I think collecter ships look like a space turd)
Plus many people have been specualting about BW adding collecters/new nemies to th eMP in their next DLC, and if you were on the MP fourms, there was actually a post tht the Bw employees got very into about chris going on vacation for a week, how there was a pattern etc. they said at first they would nethier confirm nor deny the MP DLC. but as the convo went on the main mod talking said he was excited about all the cool stuff they were working on in the studio but couldnt say anything. And Bw usually does things like this to get us excited about dlc.
PS I also would love these threads, I'm one of those people who goes on the internet getting eveyr peice of info he can about DLC when its announced, until he practically knows what everything will be like. And I try to get whatever I can before I specualte, trying to make an educated guess. So I would love your posts

If collectors made it into single player DLC it would be far more likely to see them in multiplayer afterwards. A whole enemy faction is alot of resources/game assets. Models, Skins, Animations, Voice Acting, Coding, AI ----I find it incredibly unlikely to find them in one and not the other!

Well yeah, but they probaly wouldnt have as much work as adding something completly new, after all they made 6 new chrs. for the latest DLC thats 6 new models and 18 new powers (mostly) each faction usually has about 6-8 enemies I think thts the number, plus they would probaly have SOMETHING to base it off from ME2. thats not to say it wouldnt be in SP as well, but they just released levathin and it requires much more time for voice acting, story making etc. for the single player campaign

This makes sense to me. That picture looks like a collector ship to me. Would be nice to have an up-close, clear picture, but you work with what you've got.

Someone said it looks Geth, didn't one of the Codex entries say that one of the Geth weapons hinted at a war with other synthetics?

Could it be these other synthetics? those could have been the reapers however, or the heretics

Shepard technically (or physically rather) does not appear in MP. That scene in the Special Ops trailer was spliced together from a single player scene. It was more likely that was Alliance soldiers on the ground on Earth, whilst he himself was there. Also, at 1:02 you can see Javik's right shoulder in the back row of the people he is talking to.

Therefore, should he make any sort of cameo in multiplayer, it would be the first time.
