I don't like Borderlands, but I think there is not really a way to compete with it, at least in the first weeks.
Probably then it would be a better idea to release a massive DLC when the enthusiasm for BL2 is a bit muffled and peolple are again starting to look around for other games; the sad note of this is that it could need weeks and weeks to happen..

Their whole cheeky "everything is a secret" tactic is not holding the average gamer's attention and they are going to feel it from tomorrow on.

If they ever release some DLC that can actually make your shepherd live and rejoin the crew in the endgame, it would sell TONS.

We should bypass Bioware, go to their EA bosses and tell them the bioware honcho's are knowingly passing up a goldmine of money! Come on EA where is your greed when we need it!!!

Possibly a quest by the Normandy crew to find a way to resurect him....I.E. find a Collector base that has Cloneing tech so Shepard can be cloned and brought back.
Just my crazy thoughts

Or maybe they find the remains, take them to The Illusivemans base. Get Miranda on the case and ...Oh wait they did that in ME2.TazMonkey2011 wrote...
I think EA already knows this and even though BioWare has said this is the end of Shepards Story, EA being the money hungry company they are (MW2, MW3, Battlefeild3, Tiger 2000000, Maden 50000000000, etc) I think that a Shepard resurecction will be the plan for ME4.

Just goes to show that falling from orbit without a parachute wasn't enough to kill our hero. Why should we worry about the horrible things that happened at the end of ME3.

but EA loves doing stuff like that. I mean why else do we have MW2 (just awful in my opinion, they were in too much of a hurry to finish it in the first place had to get that dollar) Oh wait they already did that with ME3 ending

The Dragon Age 3 thing went live today, not tomorrow - and the announcement states that "Recently, I said that we didn´t want to talk about Dragon Age III unless we had something to show. I´m trying to stick to that plan and won´t be revealing much today. That said, a lot of information and rumors have surfaced recently and we don´t want to hide from them. There are a BUNCH of things that I really want to share with you but I want to do this right, and doing it right requires some more time."sirdario1986 wrote...

So they're not bringing any DA3 stuff for a while, yet. Mass Effect 3 suddenly sounds plausible. I'm sure they wouldn't release it without hype, though. Would they? Announcement of a Single Player DLC, I'd think.
EDIT: Oh! But the original tweet was from yesterday. 20 hours ago - that's Sunday, here. Yes, it was probably that, then.

Why invest in another dlc for Story Mode?
Honestly, I think unnecessary.
Do not misunderstand me, to be interesting, but in truth, most of us spend more hours having fun in multiplayer. And for Bioware, perhaps this is a more fertile ground, with greater possibilities for a future investment. After all, this is one of the most successful titles of the company. Do not be surprised if some time here Bioware announce a multiplayer title (expanded, revised and improved) from Mass Effect.
So what could be that image?
In my opinion, it is a piece of art, which perhaps has to do with a new dlc for multiplayer ... and the launch video, Shepard appear, as well as appeared in the promotional video for the multiplayer, months ago. Anderson also appeared when Earth was launched.
