Could be that he "doesn't know", could be that they're just taking their time and waiting for the Borderlands 2 release, which is a stupid idea.

It's never a good idea to release content when a new game comes out, new game > content. Better to get it out before, or a week-fortnight afterwards, so that people are either bored of waiting for their new game, or have just played through it and got bored of it.

It's a new DLC, set on the planet Condora, called Lorderbands.

My guess is multiplayer DLC will be announced tomorrow

DLC announcements have been on Wednesdays, alongside of the Operation announcements.

Or on Thursday, can't remember which one but I'm quite sure one was announced on Thursday...

The point is that we all still believe/hope that the DLC will be released on semptember, but the source is mr.Priestly, who seems to have tweeted that and its denial as well...so, could be that we're all waiting for something that will happen the next month!

Since my picture ENHANCER program is currently broken, I'll have to guess like everyone else.

I'm willing to wager that Bioware would not release something as big as Collectors in MP without a story to go along with it. Therefore, I believe that a SP and MP DLC featuring the Collectors as a "new" faction will be released at the same time. Soon.

Whatever happens, I'm excited for the possibilities.

"Earth" was announced on Thursday, but that coincided with BioWare having a panel at SDCC.

This could not be further from the truth, especially for an environment like ME3's MP which closely parallels the MMORPG scene.

With MMOs (and most other games), new releases tend to have a small "ramp-up" period to reach an effective playerbase. There is a lot of excitement at first, then as people encounter issues such as bugs, spotty connections, etc they begin to migrate back to their previous game rather than be patient and wait for the issues to be resolved.

A very good example of this is anytime a new MMO comes out. The launch might have insane numbers of people, but then Blizzard announces an expansion, some kind of new content/pet/whatever, and people ditch the new game to flock back to WoW to do the same thing they did before but "without the bugs!".

Its a better idea to release DLC now than wait for later. There are a slew of games coming out soon, it's just not Borderlands. Waiting for those games to release is a really bad idea.

Except it's actually not.

Every time a new game comes out, people proclaim that "X is going to die, Y is gonna be so much better!"...then X releases a small DLC, and people suddenly flock back to it.

only happened once... with D3... and Blizz dropped the ball with that game.

I dont want to accept that my time with ME3 is coming to an end... but it is. :?

@ntrisley: That's what I'm saying. Releasing on the actual release of another game is a bad idea. All the joy you try to make by showing off the DLC is drowned out by the newly released game. If you announce before, all the people get the news and that's a good thing. But you want to wait a while after the release. If you don't, a good number of the migrating fanbase won't get the thrill of DLC announcement, which'll hamstring the number that do return (because they won't know about the new content or will not care (because you lose their faith as they move between franchises).

That's not even remotely true.

It happened with Warhammer Online, it happened with Age of Conan, it happened with The Old Republic, and heck it happened with MOH/COD and BF3.
