Only competition is witcher 2, but the multiplayer gives mass effect a nod

a tacked-on MP a nod? lol

The MP is so addictive though...

No. The best moment in gaming maybe, but they had Batman Arkham City's ending in the same category, and that one was absolutely brilliant. That was a true work of art. So no, I will not be voting for ME3 for anything, unless they have a Biggest Disappointment category. That one it would win hands down.

And I'm going to bet 5 bucks Mass Effect doesn't win any of those.

It isn't going to win RPG?

The other two are up in the air but RPG-wise, I would be fairly surprised if there was another outcome.

Let's see, a shooter on rails or one of the rpgs it was up against? Yeah right!

Voted! There are some good games in the listing, but why wasn't Dishonored on the Watch list?

Also, I find Tuchanka to be overrated, frankly.

It most certainly is. It's full of continuity issues, character mischaracterizations and derp.

What, what and what? Did we play the same game? Or do you define "Character Development" as continuity issues etc?

An example mischaracterization and continuity issues would be Wrex becoming an imperialist brute moron who wants an expansionist Krogan empire with a rapidly multiplying population(what caused the rebellions) and wanting the genophage cured when ME2 established what kept him from being strung up on the nearest pole is his policy of maintaining females on neutral ground.

Derp would be the Reaper stupidity of them sending only one of their vessels there and it being taken down by a freaking work(it was too stupid to fly out of the way too).

In spite of everything (read: ending), I still think Mass Effect 3 is Game of the Year material.

Bravo BioWare, even your most flawed game still outclasses the competition.

TW2 was way better, only thing ME3 has over TW2 is femshep.

Um, Skyrim is in there for best RPG. It's a steamroller, deserving or not.

Blacklight: Retribution wasn't nominated for best shooter? Golden joysticks, I am very disappointed.

Yes, you did, but it's a (cough bad cough) opinion most people have, and most people are the majority. I can pretend that the games I want to win will, but they won't. It will be a Mass Effect/Skyrim/Uncharted show, folks, no matter how mediocre those titles actually are.

The ultimate game of the year choices are kind of.......lacking?

I picked Mass Effect 3 just because I haven't really played most of the other ones, and the ones I did play where mediocre at best.

It's sort of a taboo to say this on BSN, but ME3 was my favorite game this year.

Me too. I would have probably said Skyrim, but as a PS3 user I hate their guts.

I feel as though this year has been very lacking in terms of gaming, Mass Effect 3 is really the only game I anticipated and pre ordered.

I mean Journey? Game of the year? really? GoW3? I mean those were fun, but Game of the year worthy? Hell no.

I haven't played the other games, and despite liking ME3 up until the end, endings are crucial to a game. An extremely bad ending like ME3 had torched the franchise, which in turn causes me not to vote for it. Since I haven't played the others, I'll vote for none.

 GOTY: Skyrim
RPG:Borderlands 2 (even though it's not on there...yet ;))

Best moment:White Phosphorous. (Tuchanka felt expected, even with the twist. It was good, but not the best moment.)

I remember the general reactions of ME3 on launch day were "man the game was 99% perfect except for that terrible ending!!"

I can't vote a game with an ending like that. No way in hell. They have had ample opportunities to correct it and didn't to spite everyone.

This is true, and mostly gut reaction. Time hasn't been friendly.

For those who did like ME3 but were/are disappointed by the current direction I would suggest not voting at all. It be nice if Bioware gets it through their thick artistic integrity skulls.
