Just a quick question: how important do you think it is to the game that the main character is 'special' in some way? For example, In DA: O, the Warden had unique access to the stat boosts in the Circle of Magi, as well as the Power of Blood Spells, while in Dragon Age 2 Hawke was the only character with access to 2 specializations. What, if anything, would you like to see in DA 3?
I personally would like a few small stat boosts again, as well as perhaps specializations unique to the player character? (Arcane Warrior could be a good one for mages, seeing as they're a lost order)
How important is the player's power? (compared to other companions)

same thing, a few stat boosts just like Origins, and otherwise maybe a different set of potential specs per character, just depending on how much story is tied to them. If there isn't any, the unique specs wouldn't really matter. It's all about story and story branching for me. All of the characters should have room for building unique stat and skill combinations, more specs available than could be taken in a single playthrough, not just the pc.

Having more power isn't that important to me. If I'm playing a less powerful Bard type who is more of support character then that's how I play it. It all depends on the class you playing. I think although more power can be more fun. Now that I think about it.

Pretty important. If I am going to be the bad ass hero leading all these heroic companions around, I'd at least want to be better than each of them individually. While I appreciate the stat boosts, I'd love to have a power unique to the hero.
Another gripe of mine is that in Dragon Age 2, I initially chose the sword and shield class but later in the game, I find out Aveline is way better at it than I will ever be because she has access to a dedicated s&s tree. If they plan to retain the unique skill of a particular companion,I'd appreciate it if they gave the hero access to it too.
