I'm not sure why people complain to Bioware on Twitter when the person responsible for most of ME3's problems hasn't responded to tweets since around release.

This too

The silence from certain people says it all....

Or maybe it says that they didn't want to read vulgar messages being sent to them on Twitter anymore? Would you like?

Maybe they should grow some balls then.
Only answer the constructive questions and criticisms and ignore the vulgar messages.

well, some posters were upset over the silence..so that'd probably not rewrite the franchise...

What?

Lol, i'm guessing Wayning_star's first language isn't english. Some of his replies to my posts have been equally confusing.

You have your clauses, they have theirs. They are not necessarily exactly same.

This thread has massively escalated. Gamble was just responding to a person over his remarks on DLC, yet this has somehow turned into another "bioware sucks" debate.

maybe they should grow some balls and ask them, instead of leaving the vulgar messages?

I mean, cooperation is a two-way street, if you expect something, it doesn't give you the privilege to be cross back at them. And frankly the way the minority of the community has acted over this entire debacle is deplorable, and I don't blame them for not saying anything, or responding to the venom in kind.

You act as if nobody has. Of course some have sent constructive criticisms. Those deserve be responded to, I do not support people just sending vulgar hate mail to people, but some times that's the only way to get through to people.
EDIT: And please don't act like the people who disliked any part of the game are the "minority," there's no way of determining that so don't pull that BS.

no, it's not. And as someone who taught kids before who pretty much acted out like this, the real way to make breakthroughs is to give them space, then give them criticism and work with them to fix it.

Being nasty only continues bad habits, habits that I guess are expected for the internet, but that needs to change.

Why did he respond at all? It's not a vocal response, it's a written one, you have more time to think about what you're saying. That was very unprofessional.

In all fairness, Gamble, Chris, Jessica, Patrick, Gaspur etc have all replied to peolple who ask them questions on twitter. They get sent a lot of tweets, and it might be hard sorting through the crap to get decent complaints and questions. Often, the constructive critiscism is surrounded by vulgarity, and the devs may not believe its worth it.

We ALL (including the lowliest guys) sign an agreement upon hiring saying we will represent our company even off the clock AND not doing so is ground for termination......in light of that I really cannot take anything Allan says at face value

I don't agree with you about Alan. But I understand the rage. I often feel that rage myself, and have to make effort not to let it get the best of me.The fact that Alan took the time to speak to us at all today, or ever, is an indication that he and BW are interested in what we are feeling about the game and the DLC.  I think there is a large element of management perhaps, that does not understand why the endings do not work for us RPGers.  So when a 'door' opens, however briefly, and BW asks questions, is it not better to engage in a dialogue? No matter which side of the debate you fall on?I find that it is not possible to have a discussion with someone, if I get hit in the face with raw emothion.I don't know what to do with that and may shutdown, or respond in kind.  But if you take the time to lay out your point, we both may learn something, even if we do not agree. The devs are no different. When they ask a question, about how you feel about something, it is probably more productive to tell them, in a conversational way.So yes, Alan is a representative of Bioware.  Whether it is him, or BW or both, that we have to thank for him putting in an appearance today, I say it is a good opportunity for us to present our thoughts, particularly as the input was solicited.   And to do so respectfully.  Maybe nothing will come of it, or maybe, we will be pleasantly surprised. While Bioware cannot or will not change the ending(s) of ME3. It remains to be seen whether or not they can fit those endings into a broader tapestry, through DLC, sort of like adding pieces to a puzzle

or he is being used for damage control and none of this is his thought. Is it possible he is being honest? sure....but I cannot trust him

No disrespect intended. But there's been no word of any Bioware rep besides Chris priestly's locked threads and the thinly veiled "**** off if still not happy" a few weeks (month?) ago. Then suddenly the BSN explodes with gamble's tweet and he's front and center. So yeah I find it off.

To be fair though Gamble's statement on twitter is hardly something to mobilize the cavalry for really. He just told one person that the team's been working hard. Whoop dee do. Even if the BSN is ripping it to pieces its not exactly  earth shattering material that requires any kind of real dammage control.

So meh. What evs.

Lol @ "minority".

Seriously if you think that your delusional, literally every poll or census with a large amount of data i've ever seen regarding ME3 has had ending haters in the VAST MAJORITY.

I get where he's coming from but he did not handle it well as someone who still represents Bioware. I have worked in customer service before and I would NEVER swear at a customer, and would probably have been fired orr at least disciplined if I had, and lets be honest I had some extremely rude ****** customers... I am willing to give this a pass and write it off as stress, but I hope Bioware does not start taking this stance towards the negative comments, which TBH I actually agree with the original tweeters feelings over the subject.

The guy probably just needs a vacation, getting yelled at online nonstop by PO fans would get old really quickly for anyone.

PS Allan we miss you! You rarely post on these forums anymore :(

Yeah Bioware employees are cyborgs that have no feelings and should never get upset about anything that anyone says. Just like most of the level headed people on these forums that is always calm, cool and collected.

Mega you seem to think that the only controversial part of the game was the ending. The ending gets the most attention but it's really not even the worst part of the game. The Crucible plotline, Cerberus' handling, me2 squadmates, side quests, auto-dialogue, all of these things hurt the game. As a standalone game it's alright, but that's where they failed. They tried to make it a standalone game when it was the finale of a trilogy. So yes, with high expectations it was a terrible game. With average expectations it was an average to slightly above average game. Even excluding the endings it is not a great game.

Uhhh no I don't think that; I know that. The retake movement started purely because of the vanilla endings. People recognized the other problems but that's not what caused the media ****storm.

Just because it's not what caused the storm doesn't make them any less integral parts of the game that were botched. It's what you learn after you know everything that counts.

It's disgusting how people continue to hound BW. The ending thing, how the EC was received by some people, discussion of DLC, some people are really gross childish creeps. Mike Gamble has been a saint through all this and dropping an F bomb is completely appropriate given the giant amount crazies that have been hounding BW employees the past 7 months.
