Losing your temper with your costumers isn't very professional. You're free to disagree with them, obviously, but "do you know how hard we worked on it?" isn't really a good response to a complaint about a product. Why should the costumer care how hard the team worked if the product is not up to the costumer's expectations? I think most people who work with costumers will get pissed off sometimes, but there are better ways to handle it than getting defensive about it. Firm but polite usually works.

like i said these butt hurt fans dont realize its a game and whats so wrong for enjoying it as a game in the first place?

im seriously starting to hate todays gen of gamers because they can be nasty and you never saw this in the sega/nintendo days

ME3 maybe be a game but Mass Effect is a franchise, and these "butt hurt fans" as you call us are upset about how they ended Shepards story arc of that Franchise

If not the franchise as a whole; it's happened before with formerly successful franchises that had sequels which were "dumbed down" to appeal to a newer, wider audience - it's been known to kill them dead. Just within the past couple of years there's been the Red Faction and Prototype franchises; hell, The Command and Conquer franchise lasted over a decade; it's last installment was a flop (now, if only I could remember who published that last one...).

The only way I see them even potentially salvaging the franchise in general is to atleast attempt trying to bring the third installment up to the standard we expected, to try and uphold atleast some of the promises they previously broke pre-release. Otherwise, I think a lot of former customers will treat any further pre-release hype as being incredibly suspect - and rightly so.

I spent the next 5 years since then, devoting myself to the franchise and doing 100% completion walkthroughs, just so i can get that happy ending. I don't think it was too much to ask.

The real tragedy here is that the higher ups at EA and Bioware are probably laughing their @sses off at this fanbase at this point. You think the EC was a genuine effort to clarify things for us? No, it was a condescending method to shut up most of us and to top it all off to fragment this fanbase. They don't take us seriously, not when you got the sycophants happily ready to bash those who dare to still voice their displeasure, and those who happily spend their money on whatever crap EAware churns out. It's quite sad really.

What you fail to realize is without us, he doesn't have a job, PERIOD. Breaking point or not, the minute he lied to the fanbase was the minute all of this blowback started brewing.

I´m personally not against DLC, i will buy it(as long as is quality content and no lame one) just like i did with the first and seconds mass effect games.
I understand some peoples anger when it comes to pay to know something relevant that should be in the game in the first place. But once the game is done and i need more content to explore, to play-have fun and to expand my experience, extra content comes in and i apreciate it. I loved the game, and now they somehow managed to expand a story that fits and gives me some hours of extra gameplay.
On the other hand the first day DLC from ashes was a bad move by them that should be included in the original game, the content was cool but paying for extra content just the first day was not cool.

If you can't furfill your promises, then maybe you shouldn't make them in the first place. In that regard how many times did Bioware break their word, lie or stretch the truth on something? There's SO many.

so you expect a game to be delayed for longer than its intended to be/ its bad enough people complain me2 and me3 were 2 discs and i think alot of fans would be p.oed if they had to wait longer

i also think ea would hate the idea of investing even more money to market a game 3 years later. thats what alot of people dont understand

Saying that someone else's mother is giving you a hummer isn't what I would call "sticking up for myself".
