They're getting what they deserve? They didn't murder anyone nor burnt any orphanage  How can anyone say getting hateful/vulgar messages constantly is an 'appropirate' response to not being satisfied with a game?

I've seen one person equate the endings with rape.

Yep.

i think it has more to do with the pre-release lies, forceful marketing, and treatment of the disappointed formerly loyal fan base who spent hundreds of dollars on bioware products.

Im' proud of you Mike Gamble for standing up for the Mass Effect team against these, to put it as simply as possible, haters and bullies.

Oh those mean mean bullies picking on poor Michael Gamble and the rest of Bioware.

Criticism is okay, since it can help the one being criticised out. This guy simply is a hater because the only thing he did was insult the ME team and knock them down. I guess I'm sensitive about this because I was bullied my entire childhood and teenage years and I can say nothing positive comes out of being bullied. Hence haters=bullies.

To be fair, Bioware doesn't handle legit criticism well either, nor do they learn from it.

How so? Not trying to start an argument, just curious.

Wait, people are attacking random twitter guy? Why? He's "random twitter guy." He's expected to be a dick. Not sure why Gamble decided to respond at all. There are people with the same complaints with more civil wording. Respond to them.

Can I hit this person? It won't help me or them but it'll be satisfying.

I'm just interested in what the repercussions of Mike's actions will be. Whether or not he meant to, he has put forth a bad image as a representative of the company. People will argue that Twitter is personal, but so are Facebook accounts. Yet we've all heard of people having to change them in order to not cast a bad light upon the companies they work for.

Entertaining thread though, do continue...

*eats popcorn*

Additional scenes and an extended epilogue will reveal the impact of Mike's choices on the future of the company. Coming this summer on Twitter.

Was it synthesis?
Because synthesis is literally rape and deserves to be called such...

I think all novels should be written with that last chapter blank, with lines on the page, so's readers can just fill in the blanks they way the story should end.

That way everyones happy!! The writers don't have to risk unhappy readers and readers don't have to scan twitter for better endings, or the reasons there not. They can just jot in their own..

simple really

The last "Series of Unfortunate Events" books had the entire book completely blank so the reader could do just that.

They did work very hard on this game. It takes a lot of effort to destroy a franchise.

Well the fact that it's 7 months later and a lot of people are still upset with the endings, should tell you that Bioware haven't been playing the right cards. Now i'll give you one example. It's very obvious that fans hated the ambiguity of the endings and the fact Shepard dies in all endings. We've made that ABUNDANTLY clear. So what does Bioware do in response? When discussing the breath scene, they say it could've been his last gasp before death. This has been said by 3 devs so far.

If they learned from criticism, they would've set the record straight and said Shepard does in fact survive High EMS Destroy, and how he lives his life after is then up to the player. Originally it was clear that he survived, but then for some reason they changed their minds and said "Nope, you're gonna speculate instead"

So... basically what Bioware claimed they did with the original endings? You know, "speculations for everyone!", your choices matter, just use your imagination! The endings are different, you just have to imagine the differences!

Many equate that with publishing a book with the last few pages being blank.

And all this chest-pounding and tough talk from people like you is disingenuous for the mere fact that you're here, posting.  You'll be buying the 4th game and the 5th game.  Put a lid on it.

@comicbookguy_UK: "next time u buy a book ill rip out the last 1/4 and sell u it as dlc.. See if u like it? With EA.. Im THAT cynical!"

@GambleMike: "wow. Do you have any ****ing clue how hard the team has been working over the past year to deliver NEW content ?"

I'm not judging him. I just find it hilarious that dev and fan discussion over the ME3 ending has reached this point, especially since Gamble was originally just tweeting about the DLC screenshot unveiled today.

Ungrateful haters need to just back the hell off the devs before they ruin it for all of us.

The Dragon Age II haters are the reason why we didn't get any more DLC for it. They need to just stop and let it ****ing go.
