I'm a New Orleans football Saints fan. Always have been. Always will be. Fan. For me the word is synonymous with faith. Even when no one else thinks we can, I do. I'm a fan. Even when other "fans" abandon ship and decide to go with another team, I won't. I'm a fan. Even when my fellow fans lose heart and ridicule instead of support, I hold the line. I am a fan.

DA2 was good but not good enough. ME3 was masterful but not a masterpiece. The next console cycle is here.

I'm a Bioware fan. It's the fourth quarter and we are down by two touchdowns. I think Bioware can pull it out. I'm a fan. Are you?

I feel... so sorry for you.

You think Mike Gamble is pissed? Multiply that times 1000 and you have me, and probably a lot of the ME fans.

If you are seriously that angry then I suggest going outside.

I'm not going to go postal or anything... I'm always angry about something because somebody always manages to ****** me off.  I've been outside a lot and that wont save me from being pissed off.  People just ****** me off because they are inconsiderate and selfish jerks..... like some company that I know.

People need to realize that personal twitter accounts are just that, personal. They are not official outlets for EA/Bioware news or information. If people spam, troll or disrespect these real human beings on their personal twitter accounts, they will eventually stop being active on twitter, or make their accounts private.

If you want official news or information from Bioware/EA, then you should read the Bioware Blog, or follow @Bioware.

I absolutely think attacking is the wrong thing to do, but this is why BW and other companies should keep things professional.  The use of twitter for personal reasons gets muddied when work discussions get put out on personal accounts.  If BW doesn't separate the two then fans won't either for good or bad.  People can basically be as idiotic or as saintly as you also help allow.  And while nasty fans are really bad, you also have to worry about those that idolize you.  Making things personal opens you up to that.  And anyone in the public eye that opens themselves up to either, opens themselves up to both.  Doesn't make it right, but it makes it possible.

It's also why you do try to maintain professional and personal separation or just realize it will happen.  If someone gets nasty or crazy nice, and you've created a personal space that allows them to do that, you don't respond to it or you give it weight.

Personally, I'd say it was around the release of DA 2 when people here started behaving like animals but that's just me and my standards.

I'd say it was around the time Bioware actively started encouraging the creepy part of their fanbase.

I guess what I'm saying is, "what type of content do you think SHOULD be in the DLC?"

This question shouldn't really be needed to ask here, since there are several threads about players DLC wishes already existing in both Story&Campaign discussion and in Character&Romance discussion sections. Countless of players have stated what they want/wish and if this needs to be asked here, then it's a clear sign that all those DLC threads has been left unread/ignored by BW.  :?

I still have hope, though.

This exactly.  They have used and in many cases misused twitter and reddit and other places to retcon their stories, to provide back story, to discuss it, to kill of characters, and to do a great many things to an open forum who may not even have ever bought a BW or EA product.  And BSN is generally not included in anything except MP challenges.

I don't want hype but could they possibly discuss fun stuff that might be coming and even generate some real back and forth in a positive way.  Twitter just adds to the disdain.

Why Mike, the guy's not suggesting you don't work hard to rip people off.

Kidding!

As much as I like bashing the ending and ME3's flaws, I'll never understand people who feel inclined to contact people directly with an attitude like that, even in jest, and while it was a bit of a knee-jerk reaction that probably shouldn't have happened to openly, the guys and gals at BioWare are pretty justified at being sick of the sh*t people give them sometimes, even though I don't think it's as prominent as people suggest.

My problem with them is not their capability, or the effort they put in, just the quality of the work they sometimes produce. Even so, I would never confront them on an individual basis, only as the label of BioWare.

I consider Lair of the Shadow Broker absolutely essential to the story of Mass Effect, and I was more than happy with it. More than happy to pay for. And I was satisfied with Leviathan. I think it's only real issue was that it was tied to the crappy ending.

I didn't like From Ashes just because I thought it was a relatively low quality DLC that added a uninteresting mission and a character I didn't like. Which I suppose was the point, but still.
