I don't know if it has already been reported but this bug can kill the chalenge if you don't discipline yourself.

Just
between the cavern in which you met kolgrim and the mountain top. Each
time you go from the cavern to the mountain top your experience points
just shot up.

The problem is that you can do it indefinitly and with hardly no effort you can push your characters to the top.
