3. Problem Details
a. When it comes to problem details, think about the five basic
questions: Who? What? When? Where? Why? Okay, so “Who?” doesn’t really
apply here, but the others do.
b. What? Black screen after the "Click any button to blah" thing. Apart from the other variants of the black screen issue, this doesn't freeze the game. I can hear the beeps when I scroll over the menu buttons, but I can't see anything. However, it does block me from seeing the map, startup menu and pretty much anything but in-game gameplay and dialouges.
c. When? Startup menu after I've clicked any button as instructed.
d. Where? Startup menu after I've clicked any button as instructed.
e. Why? This is why I'm here and not out there kicking Geth ass.
f. I've tried turning of steam overlay, running in compability move, turning off steam overlay, updating audio drivers (idklol), updating video drivers (AMD is being an ass, making this as hard as humanly possible. Could still be outdated for all I know.), running with different screen resolutions, forcing steam to run with DirectX 9 (possibly without results. I just entered -dxlevel 90 into "Launch options") and reinstalling.
I am well aware that all my hardware is both outdated and crappy. No need to rub it in my face.
To clear things out; I can resume gameplay if I hit the right button (unlikely, as I'd have to fumble around in the dark for the topmost button.), but it'll be somewhat limited, seeing as I can't open any form of GUI or external window in-game.
Good luck
